# How to edit metadata of a note
Click the info icon to open the "Note settings" window.

## General Setting
In the General tab, you can set the title, description, and cover image for the note.

1. Edit note title
2. Edit note description
3. Edit tags
4. Determine if the tags shown in view mode
5. Upload an image here. The image will be shown while you share the note in social media.
## Content Setting
In the "Content settings" tab you can select the language of the content, the text direction and how HackMD should handle line breaks.

## Engagement control
In 【Engagement Control,】 you can adjust permissions for various note interaction features, including [comments ^[Feature]^](https://hackmd.io/cRbMSn3YQxy43nkU364PHg), [suggestion ^[Feature]^](https://hackmd.io/@docs/suggest-edit-en), emoji replies, and displaying [citation ^[Feature]^](https://hackmd.io/@docs/paragraph_citations_en), among others.
When you enable comments to readers, you can also guide them toward further interaction. Utilize the [guided comment ^[Feature]^](https://hackmd.io/@docs/guided_comment_en) to spark discussions and encourage thoughtful reflection among your audience.
## Note detail
The "Note details" tab allows you to view the note's statistics and other important information.
