It's still in Alpha and there are often temporary issues. - Report that bug on the forums: https://wildwestrp.com/forums/bug-reports.17/ - **Community Advisor Team** (Section Lead by Frank Devine) - They handle general questions in #support (discord) tickets. - They also handle the suggestions and adress them. - Link to forum: https://wildwestrp.com/forums/suggestions.19/ - They are also hiring! - **Governor** (Section Lead by Governor Francis "Frank" Devine) - Therecent State of the State Address: https://wildwestrp.com/threads/state-of-the-state-address-march-13th-law-enforcement-judiciary-business-licenses-deeds-new-austin-wapiti-treaty.2468/ - Jail times are still capped so that you don't get crazy sentences. - Three Judges have been appointed: - Chief Judge: James 'Jay' Tully - Judge: Henry Denton (William Hayes) - Judge: Matthias Winston (Samuel Foster) - Certified businesses have been brought in and businesses can be licensed. - Deeds and land ownership is on hold for now until economy changes happen. - Marshals now have 2 sheriffs. - Emmett Stone is staying on as the State Marsh - Eastern Sheriff: Jehosephat Gattington - West Sheriff: James Major - Under-Sheriff: Sarah Connor - **Law Enforcement** (Section Lead By James Major) - There will be more varied law enforcement members on with the recent changes. Form Questions --- - **What's the reasoning behind not using video footage without the recorder's consent in the case of filing a report?** - FYI: You need to have your own evidence or consent from those you get the evidence from. - We don't need reports from those not involved in the situation. - Going through someone's VODs and finding every rule break they do and reporting them, isn't fair. Everyone makes mistakes. - You don't always have the full context of a situation. - If you feel that you are being wronged and didn't record, feel free to reach out the the person and talk it out. - You can always locally record in low quality or whatever you can. You don't need to be streaming. OBS recording to your local hard drive for example. - It's always good to have your own local copy. - There's no reason to scare off streamers because people are going through everything they do with a fine-toothed comb. - Management can still ban on exceptions and as they see fit in extreme circumstances. - **For cinematic purposes could the text on the death screen be hidden with a command (maybe even /hud)?** - Feel free to put in a suggestion on the forums! - **The thought of vigilantism being to over used, making outlaw roleplay not even enjoyable. Something to balance out not having alot of random people trying to stop a crime.** - If you aren't involved in the situation, you don't need to always need to get involved. - If there are law around, you may want to stay back lest you be arrested yourself. - When there isn't law around, make sure you are valuing your life and follow the rules! - **Can a method be put in place to make sure gangs communicate OOC to prevent possible developments of OOC salt?** - We are all adults and we should be able to reach out and talk to eachother. - Feel free to reach out directly, most problems can be solved that way and things are often misunderstandings. - In some crazy circumstance you can make a #support ticket (in Discord) for mediation, but we can't make people talk to you out of character. - **Can we get a "Getting Started Guide" that gives basic info on how things work?** - This is a good suggestion and we will come up with something. - Some stuff is already on the forums and in the #faqs channel in the Discord. - For things like stores and whatnot, we expect you to find those out in character and using your logic. - **I was just wondering why there is an age restriction for 16+ because my brother is 13 and he really wants to play but he can't because of the age restriction.** - The age limit of 16 will never be lower, and it's always debated to be raised to 18 (16+ grandfathered in). - **Will the players have access to special spawnable vehicules for planned events? (Such as the Hot air balloon, Trains, Prisonnier wagons, ect.)** - If you have an idea for an event, reach out to the staff (Discord #support Tickets) and pitch your idea. - **My characters main motivation is to open a restaurant. Will craftable food be implemented?** - Crafting is a planned system, but it's not the priority currently. - It would likely touch on cooking regardless. - If your some interesting ideas for this, feel free to put in a suggestion. - **Am I allowed to be a mute, so in my RP, I get mugged, making me a permanent mute?** - We don't have rules or policies against it currently. - If this does become a problem, we will have to make a rule with it. - We cannot have a a quarter full of mutes! - **What are the limitations on being able to setup duplicate weapons, so you can carry more than one of the same firearm?** - Right now this hasn't been discovered in RedM, despite a bunch of trying! - **Is there a possibility for jobs being added to homes, could one for example request in some formal way a moonshine still in one's house?** - Feel free to put in a suggestion for this, but this isn't likely to happen any time soon. - You can always RP as a farmer and do this yourself! There's nothing to say you aren't selling booze out of your house! - **Is Law Enforcement still hiring?** - Apps are currently closed as a bunch of new people were hired. - Pay attention to the forums, notice boards, and annoucements! - **What does the Community Advisor team do?** - The first line to answering questions and handling Discord #support tickets. - Looking at suggestions. - **Bounty Hunter Licenses - How would one go about acquiring one and is it fully implemented?** - Details will be announced later, possibly in the coming weeks. - There will be applications and a Judge that reviews them. - Restrictions will be in place. - Things like shooting in self-defense for example. - Bounty boards will then be accessible. - **Will business deeds or licenses be removed from owners if they commit crimes or certain crimes?** - Likely just for crimes involving the property like racketeering. - There isn't a procedure set yet. - **Where is the split between east and west for law enforcement.** - It's splits near Bacchus Station and is cut nearly straight South. - Image of the splits: https://i.imgur.com/9bjcBVI.jpg - **Does the rule of 6 apply to a town full of people, an event full of people, or an adventuring group full of people that are not doing anything illegal but are attacked? If a group of 6 outlaws attacks one of these groups of people, do they have the right to defend themselves?** - You have the right to defend yourself. - The rule is you being in an organized posse and having more than 6 and with pre-planned stuff. - Multiple groups in a town aren't magically a posse if they all run off to fight those attacking a town. - **Forced Perma?** - You can't. They need to choose to permanently kill a character, no matter what injuries you give them. - If you perm your main/favourite character on a whim, they can never be brought back (we don't allow revives). - Judges can order public executions, but they will reach out to the person first to make sure they want to be perm'd. - It won't be forced. - Otherwise you'd just get a **long** prision sentence. - **Are there implemented partial buildings that you can place down, any thoughts on camp building and hideout building?** - No, and likely not at all in that sort of way. - Feel free to put in a suggestion though with your ideas on how this would work. - **Can you make some comments to the community regarding the difference between a modern sense of justice and justice in the wild west. What is the vision for the justice system in that regards? I am concerned from questions I heard during the event that there is this modern sense of justice rather than the gritty kind of justice prevalent in the late 1800s in the USA** - Neither form of justice work well with a Roleplay server so have a system designed for this server, not for either era. - With 1800s justice, everyone will get hanged and be shooting everyone. - A fully modern system has too much bureaucracy involved for players to have fun in. - The law enforcement here is mainly reactive, like the Sheriff watching from the porch and patrolling his town. - Roleplay and fun are focused first, accuracy second. - **Is there any timeframe on newer (pre march) players being able to join the server?** - None currently. - They are stuck waiting on CFX to find a work around or Rockstar to either revert the change to the License Verification API or to come up with something CFX can use. - It's entirely out of our hands.
