Status update: Met with Jonny and Andy on Inclusion OF ETH Magicians at hackathon. The space is large enough to accommodate us for the entire hackathon (Oct26 - 28) as well as breakout sessions for the entire hackathon. The main meeting room that we have seats close to ~75 people. We will have access to at least 3 breakout rooms as well for the entire hackathon. I‘ve requested a floorplan and should have one before the end of the week.

*One request from Status* -can ETH Magicians provide mini "magic" talks about Tech or EIPS during the first or second day of the hackathon? This will be an alternative to typical sessions that the sponsors will provide and also to reinforce the EIP track of the hackathon
^^^Boris: I think "lightning talks" or similar from people behind EIPs is possible -- I think EIPs track is kind of on my head still, need to do a post about that

*Outstanding question for FEM* - do we want to extend the Council earlier to Oct 26 to be fully included for the EIP track of the hackathon and allow for more work/discussions? If so, we willneed to coordinatw with everyone who has registered so far so that they plan to come earlier than just the 28th
^^^Boris: I think generally the messaging is -- code heavy work in the EIPs track, summaries, discussion, and sharing at main council. That's not totally correct phrasing, but close. The current council registration asked if people are intending to do status. We can do an email to everyone and message this appropriately, getting them to be sure to sign up for Status Hackathon under EIPs track if they DO intend to come /me waves at @augunwole :+1:

Someone to wrangle the agenda ahead of time; probably also outreach to get other people in gear and organized, such as ring makers.

We think we’re going to have one full day and up to 3 separate spaces. How do we run both an unconference track as well as help ring makers get chunks of time to dig into specific EIPs or topics.

#### Facilitation

In person, social scalability and conversation facilitation

I think facilitation should be taken care of under the organisation of the rings themselves.

^^ I think the organisation of the event and enablment of rings by the magicians should be high level and abstracted away from the events/workshops themselves. more efficient / less details to worry about

#### Volunteer lead / Space Organization
Organize people who will volunteer over a couple of days on the ground; there is lots more to do here as well, such as helping people get setup with forum accounts, using HackMD for real time note taking, interviewing people in person about what they care about / what EIPs are great, and so on
