**Abstract**

I got tired of so much funding going only to crypto native teams when there's incredible open source projects and builders that could really use some support as they figure it out.

While I was working on creating a grant program for funding open metaverse projects I had a realization.

Who is going to notice or care? There's so many funds out there, how will my attempt stick out in a sea of money?

I didn't believe that a story about another cookiecutter grant program would bring enough attention to these champions of our freedom, so one night I got high.. and started to make really detailed dank nugz in blender...

Actually these are probably two unrelated ideas that intertwined when I started to imagine how absurdly ridiculous of a headline it'd be for some anon to fund open source metaverse projects by selling fake weed on the blockchain. With a bit more effort we can hit all the buzzwords and game the algorithm together.
