第 01 次讀書會討論 @ Mental Disability Study Group 10.13

這份讀書會的規劃總共分成三個部分：首先會從 (1) 障礙研究的理論取徑出發，批判「醫療化觀點」對於人們 disease, illness, sick 等醫療化（從而也做出價值判斷、並帶來污名與其是）的觀點。其次，成接著障礙研究將人的處境及其社會脈絡扣連，進一步探討 (2) 對於精神狀況的討論，包含管制機構（全控機構，所以這邊會希望可以討論到 Foucault 與 Goffman 對於管制機構的討論）以及診斷和治療。最後是收納在 (3) 瘋狂研究的觀點下，回到瘋狂人士 (mad people) 的觀點，批判醫療化和社會模式的論述。
這樣的架構延續 2021 年年中我於課堂上完成的期末報告。但我對於這樣的架構不慎滿意。
首先，這樣的觀點其實很大程度將全控機構（精神病院）的討論扁平化了，並忽視了去機構化下的影響；其次，「心理學」以及精神分析學說在這個架構底下「消失」了，但這兩者在人們「尋找依靠」時往往是非常重要的關鍵角色。最後，瘋狂研究的討論在期末報告的篇幅裡面過於簡陋，由於 Mad Pride 以及 Mad Movement 的脈絡我並不是很清楚，因此下面整理的文獻會非常鬆散。
這份讀書會更多是希望可以邀請有興趣的夥伴共襄盛舉，我希望可以藉由閱讀和討論來補足上述我提到的不足之處；特別是希望可以與心理學、精神醫學的學術脈絡進行對話，以便補上關於精神疾病／精神障礙的討論中不可或缺的一部分。
