# Agenda:
### 1) [Geovelo-notes ](https://resultmaps.neis-one.org/osm-notes-info?uid=11096472)
We see popping up from time a Geovelo note: From whom do they come? Is there a follow-up? if so, who does it? and how?
example -> https://www.openstreetmap.org/note/4185979
### 2) [French wiki bike facilities](https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/FR:Bicycle)
Is the french wiki similar to the Belgian way-of-mapping the bicycle facilities ? (we've already spot some difference that we will take into account for the bicycle routes)
Thierry: there's an outdated Belgian wiki page concerning conventions how to map Cycle routes -> https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/WikiProject_Belgium/Conventions/Cycle_Routes
### 3) Mapping of towpaths
"The towpaths (=chemin de halage/jaagpad in Dutch) in Flanders (northern region in Belgium, not in Brussels or Wallonia) are NOT bike lanes, but are intensively used to commute by bike or for touristic bike trips in the weekend.
We already received some remarks that some routeplanners don't take these "towpaths" into account, as they are mapped as service roads (more info about this in the wiki (it's only available in Dutch, but you can quickly get the most important info via the tag info)):
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/NL:Jaagpad"
See discussion at https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/tagging-of-towpaths-jaagpaden-fietssnelwegen-ravels/103836/24
### 4) Cyclestreets
Cyclestreets have a [legal status in Belgium](https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:cyclestreet#Belgium), while in France they apparently don't have -> https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:bicycle_road%3Dyes
on the field they look very differently
[example 1 ](https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=1742112606303077)in Leuven
[example 2](https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=1708646229565759) on the countryside
[example 3](https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=202983839502254) in Brussels
### 5) [Schéma de données des aménagements cyclables](https://www.velo-territoires.org/politiques-cyclables/data-velo-modeles-donnees/schema-donnees-amenagements-cyclables/#)
Geovelo was apparently quite active behind the Data Scheme for cycle Infrastructures (interoperable with OSM) in France.
https://schema.data.gouv.fr/etalab/schema-amenagements-cyclables/
(originally created in collabaration with Ile de France)
* What consists it of?
* What's your feedback on it?
* Are the authorities using it? legally, they are obliged to use it

"Hello there,
We are the OSM Department of Geovelo, a french company with an environmental and civic mission. With our app, and our cycling analysis dashboards, we aim to promote daily cycling by making itineraries safer.
Our team of 4 mappers try to map every bicycle facilities as best as possible for 3 mains objectives : 1) ensure quality data for journey planners (not just ours but all those using osm data), 2) getting objective metrics for cycle routes that are comparable across all European territories, 3) design great maps because bicycle rocks 🤟
We were there last year for the SOTM in Antwerp, great meeting and organization 👌👏
We have more and more Belgium users, so we wanted to help improve these data and do our part alongside you (as we already do with the French OSM community, with whom we have excellent relations).
Could you tell us if the Belgium community is involved in the bicycle facilities environnement ? Are there partnerships with local collectivities ? (We heard that Antwerp Province seems to have some sort of agreement with the OSM Belgium to keep the cycling highways in OSM up to date for instance ? )
Is the french wiki similar to your way-of-mapping the bicycle facilities ? (we've already spot some difference that we will take into account for the bicycle routes)
Thanks for all your input,
--
