# DAO of the Week

## DAOotW Gnosis Newsletter Piece

DAOhaus generates a 100 word piece each week that is published in the Gnosis newsletter.

**Requirements:**
- 100 words max
- 10 word summary for TLDR
- **Writer**: Convey the essence of the DAO in a straightforward and elegant way.
- **Tone**: straight forward, clear and concise
- **Insert** how the DAO uses Gnosis in the content
- **Showcase** [DAOhaus](app.daohaus.club/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=gnosis_nl) when appropriate
- **Editor:** Screen for quality writing. All writing submitted should be gramatically correct, spellchecked and easy to understand.
- **Program Manager:** Aim for 3 out of 4 DAOs to be DAOhaus DAOs
- **Writing** due Tuesday at 11AM MT
- **Editing** due Wednesday at 11AM MT
- **Delivery** due Thursday at 11AM MT

## Weekly Process

1. (**Program Manager**) Choose featured DAO by end of day Thursday
- Provide DAO contact info to next Writer.
- Provide DAOs that use Gnosis
- Provide DAOs that mostly use DAOhaus
- DAOs provided are innovators (out of the box governance, interesting ops setups, etcetera)
- Ask Warcamp for suggestions and connections
- Resource from DAOhaus, Yeeter, MetaCartel and MetaPod

1. (**Program Manager**) Provide point of contact at featured DAO to writer

1. (**Writer**) 20 min voice chat with someone from the DAO

Interview Questions:
- What is your DAO's mission or purpose?
- How does your DAO governance work?
- How do you manage your treasury?
- Do you use Gnosis or Optimism chain? If so how?
- Do you use DAOhaus or Moloch? If so how?
- Does your DAO have lore?
- What are the vibes?
- Do you know another DAO we might feature?
- Can we (DAOhaus) keep your contact info for DAO to DAO purposes?

## Thoughts

#### Thoughts on *DAO of the Week* after our first deliverable:

*DAO of the Week* is part of the Gnosis Newsletter, with a maximum word count of 100 words. It also requires a fairly short turnaround time of one week.

Some key points from this structure.

- Audience is Gnosis Newsletter subscribers. This means that they are already invested enough to receive weekly mail in their inbox. They are closer to the bottom, not the top, of the funnel. Information does not need to emotionally engage them, as much as it needs to be clear and concise. (I personally tend to prefer writing the emotional stuff, but this situation seems to require the opposite.)

- Rangers’ feedback on the content is most useful when it serves the short turnaround time and minimal word count. Anyone who wants to contribute more than basic edits can sign up for a *DAO of the Week* and own that content.

Bounty: Write a 100 word "DAO of the Week" piece for the Gnosis Chain newsletter.

DAOhaus creates a 100 word "DAO of the Week" piece each week that puts a spotlight on one of the many interesting and important DAOs doing good work in our ecosystem.

We're looking for DAO-enthusiastic writers who would like to produce one or more of these pieces.

You will join a pool of writers who take on the work as their schedule allows. If you sign up to be a "DAO of the Week" writer you'll be given contact info for the featured DAO and it will be your responsibility to:

* Schedule an interview
* Interview and learn about the DAO (about 20 minutes, take notes)
* Draft the piece (100 words including TLDR headline)
* Submit for editing (hand off to DAOhaus for review/editing)
* Integrate feedback and submit final piece for publication

We'll tweet the piece out, tag you if you like, and the current rate is 50 XDAI & 10 locked HAUS.

Bonus HAUS offered for repeat writers.

We're operating with a pool of funds that may or may not be refreshed periodically, so get on the list now while the offer stands. This is a great way to contribute, get paid and get some web3 street cred.
