## 🌎 Project Overview
**“Sandbox LATAM: Foundations for a Global Ambassador Program”** is an ambitious initiative to launch The Sandbox DAO’s first-ever educational and onboarding hub in Latin America — and to lay the groundwork for a scalable, global Ambassador Program.
In most successful DAOs — from MakerDAO to Optimism, Arbitrum, etc — this infrastructure eventually evolves into Ambassador or Advocate programs: scalable contributor pathways that ensure localized communities have the tools, context, and support they need to participate meaningfully in governance and creation.
For The Sandbox DAO, the timing couldn’t be better. The DAO is still in its early formation stage — governance participation is growing, but contributor infrastructure is still nascent. This moment presents a great opportunity: to design an Ambassador framework from the ground up, based on values of inclusion, regional representation, and educational clarity.
That’s what this project want to set in motion.
Starting in Latin America — a region with strong Web3 traction and creative ecosystems, where governance processes often feel distant or unfamiliar due to language and accessibility barriers. Our goal is to validate this model locally, with global scalability in mind.
Over the next three months, we’ll build the assets, workflows, and content systems needed to support a wide range of local participants — from curious newcomers and potential users to committed contributors — in finding their place within The Sandbox ecosystem and evolving into long-term community stewards.
Our vision is global. While the content and community programming will be context-specific — designed to address the cultural, linguistic, and social particularities of the Latin American audience — the systemic framework of the project (including communication infrastructures, documentation standards, and governance onboarding mechanisms) will be developed with scalability and replicability in mind.
This bifocal approach ensures that the LATAM deployment functions both as a locally relevant initiative and as a prototype for future regional rollouts, contributing to a cohesive and values-aligned global Ambassador Program for The Sandbox DAO.
### Why Start in LATAM?
Latin America is one of the most vibrant and promising regions for Web3 growth:
- Deep engagement with digital platforms and online communities
- Young, creative, and digital-native population
- Rapid adoption of decentralized tools and digital economies
- Lack of Spanish-language materials or onboarding support
By starting this project, we’re tackling one of the biggest global bottlenecks: **language-accessible entry points for non-English-speaking contributors**. The assets, workflows, and pedagogy we develop in this pilot will serve as **a replicable framework** for future Ambassador Program expansion into other regions.
This project aims to answer a central question: **How can The Sandbox DAO scale its contributor base beyond English-speaking communities while maintaining quality and alignment?** We believe the answer starts with education, localized infrastructure, and a framework for long-term ambassador engagement.
Although around 12% of Latin America's population holds crypto, only a small portion — likely under 5% — are both crypto users and proficient in English. This suggests a large untapped contributor base that could be activated through accessible, regionally adapted educational and onboarding efforts.

## 🧱 What We’re Building
This SIP proposes a 3-month pilot to:
- 🌐 Launch a fully localized Spanish-language portal (Notion or WordPress) with translated docs, articles, videos, and onboarding guides
- 🧾 Professionally translate the full official Sandbox documentation, with the goal of publishing it as **official material on the Sandbox Docs portal**
- 🎓 Publish **evergreen educational content** (6 articles + 6 videos) crafted to be adaptable for other languages and future regions
- 📣 Activate community channels through a dedicated LATAM X (Twitter) account and recurring Spaces with creators and contributors
This is **Stage 1** of a multi-phase strategy:
| Stage | Goal |
|-------|------|
| **1. Pilot (This SIP)** | Build the LATAM hub, translate core docs, create reusable educational assets, establish trust |
| **2. SIP 2** | Launch the LATAM Ambassador Program leveraging the foundations laid here |
| **3. Global Expansion** | Use LATAM as the blueprint to scale Sandbox Ambassadors in other regions with local adaptations |
This pilot is not just a regional initiative — it's the first step toward a scalable, global Ambassador Program. Our strategy follows a three-part approach:
- **Localized Creation**
- We’ll produce high-quality educational content designed by and for the LATAM community, addressing regional needs and cultural context while reflecting the DAO’s values.
- **Exportable Structure**
- Every asset — from articles and tutorials to community playbooks — will follow a modular and replicable format. This framework can be adapted by future contributors in other regions, enabling global expansion without reinventing the wheel.
- **DAO-Native Alignment**
- All content and operations will remain aligned with The Sandbox DAO’s ethos: creativity, openness, and community-driven innovation. This ensures local efforts reinforce — not fragment — the broader mission.
To support this long-term vision, we are already drafting an adaptable framework for future Ambassador onboarding, based on our experience at MakerDAO and Arbitrum. While this SIP does not include the rollout of that program, many of the tools and workflows proposed here — including documentation pipelines and educational content formats — are being designed with reusability in mind.
This means the LATAM pilot won’t just produce assets — it will help shape the standards and processes for how future Sandbox Ambassadors are onboarded, supported, and empowered. Our next SIP will focus on operationalizing this framework into a live Ambassador Program, using the resources built here as its backbone.

## 🎓 Why This Matters
Protocols don’t scale without trust, and trust starts with **clarity, access, understanding, and representation**. This SIP is about giving The Sandbox DAO a real presence in a region previously underserved — and using it as the **launchpad for global onboarding infrastructure**.
The obstacles to meaningful participation are real and structural:
🧩 Language gap — Most governance documents, onboarding materials, and technical resources are only available in English, excluding large segments of non-English-speaking populations. Even among those with higher education, most users do not possess a strong enough command of English to confidently participate in governance or creative, collaborative environments like a DAO.
📚 Educational barriers — Core Web3 concepts like governance, smart contracts, and tokenomics are difficult to grasp without clear, culturally relevant educational content. Without proper guidance, even technically capable users may struggle to understand how to contribute meaningfully.
🛠️ No localized onboarding — There are few (if any) entry points tailored to regional needs — from UX language settings to creator incentives or community guidelines.
🌎 One-size-fits-all frameworks — Most engagement strategies aren’t built to account for regional nuance, which leads to poor retention and superficial growth.
With this project, we begin solving all of the above — not just for LATAM, but for any region that comes next.

## ✍️ Final Thoughts
This is a uniquely strategic moment for The Sandbox DAO.
The protocol has laid its foundational pillars — from governance tooling to early community frameworks — but much of the contributor infrastructure is still emerging. This transition period offers a rare opportunity: to shape how the next generation of builders, educators, and users enter the ecosystem.
By launching this LATAM-focused pilot now, we can ensure that the first wave of regionally localized education, documentation, and onboarding doesn’t just serve one community — but meets a global end. We'd not simply filling a gap. We aim to establish the roots of a scalable, multilingual, values-aligned contributor pipeline — one that can grow across cultures and languages.
This SIP is the first building block for a full-fledged Ambassador Program, and we're excited to put ourselves forward to lead this effort
