# Consensus Conference

## Mission Statement

我們將在 2030 年，做到「台灣區塊鏈的龍頭社群」，因為「現代社會對區塊鏈有很多誤解，我們希望這個 conf/DAO 能不分職業、種族、性別等等，平等地去普及各類區塊鏈知識」。

We aim to be the biggest Web3 NGO in Taiwan by 2030.

Today, average person has many misunderstand of blockchain & crypto.

So this conf want to be an apostle, equally preaching web3 information to average person, regardless of nationality, race, language, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, physical appearance, faith, profession, seniority, political view, or intellect.

## Story Pitch

區塊鏈在 2022 的今天，遠還沒達到 mass adoption。可能有兩個原因，一是內容太硬核，二是經常被貼上投機、洗錢的標籤。

我們相信區塊鏈這個技術，不論在金融或是治理方面，都能 make the world a better place。

所以我們想辦個 web3 conference，讓更多人能加入推廣區塊鏈的 mass adoption，讓世界的交易成本降低，make the world a better place!

## DAO Policy Framework

雖然這個 conference 是走 DAO 模式，但是 DAO 如果所有事情都給社群決定，其缺點就是
1. 效率差
2. 專業度未必足

而精英統治的優點能跟 DAO 互補，缺點則是大眾未必信任這群精英，且 可能會降低普通會眾的參與感，不利於 `成為人人平等的區塊鏈推廣社群` 這個理念。

所以有個提案： :point_down:
`draw the line between decisions the community itself must make and decisions the community should delegate to its specialized teams.`

## DAO Governance Council (DGC)

The DGC will initially comprise 7 active members with distinct roles & diverse capabilities reflecting the broad experience and capabilities of DAO members.

DGC members may resign at any time by posting a notice of resignation that they will retire following the next meeting of the Council.

DGC members may be removed by unanimous Council decision where the member has failed to attend meetings occurring across two consecutive weeks without providing advance notice.

Vacancy resulting from removal or resignation of a Council member, shall be filled by decision of DGC pending expiry of the initial members’ term. Notice of a vacancy appointment must be posted to the Olympus governance forum within 1 week of appointment.

Any or all members of DGC may be removed or replaced by DAO Improvement Proposal.
