## `@Brian Rossetti#9283`
### May 17, 2022
Experienced back-end Ruby developer with some familiarity with JS and React. He wrote the code to help us deploy the DAOhaus App to the Optimism network. Has been reviewing our v3 monorepo and project boards and is really impressed with our level of detail.
Currently earning SNX bounties in the [Kwenta](https://kwenta.io/) Dev DAO. They have a cool system but he is not super motivated by derivatives trading. Could possibly help us develop a bounty system based on the Dev DAO's models of collaboration, roles and ranking.
They use [Cypress](https://www.cypress.io/) and [synpress](https://github.com/Synthetixio/synpress). And he has experience writing Gherkin. May be interested in figuring out how to automate some testing for v3.
Not super worried about pay. Does not just want to scramble to write code. Would like to get involved in the DAO. Wants to take some time to do research and develop his React skills with the support of someone with more experience. Would also like to learn more about subgraphs.
Wants to consider what can be done to help DAOhaus grow within the Optimism ecosystem. And potentially work on building some features or boosts that are not time sensitive.
Willing to work on v2 bugs while getting up-to-speed. Can work with Plor to improve our support process, WiKis and documentation.
Has met Sam IRL.
#### ToDo
- [ ] Provide `warcamp-temp` role
- [ ] Invite to Planning meeting and Camp Fire

## silentspring
### May 18, 2022
- She wrote [The culture of DAOs](https://hackmd.io/@silentspring30/H1Jc8ce8q)
Concerned about publishing content that is not valuable if we upgrade to v3. She has been working on a script for video series explaining DAOhaus. Has written a script and is trying to determine the most appropriate audience.
Thinking the content will be most useful to people making decisions about which DAO platform to use
#### She Has Noticed
- There is a lot more video content related to other DAO platforms
- DAOhaus has much better written materials
#### Would Like To
- Create a short video series explaining DAOhaus
- Eventually do a comparison of DAO frameworks
#### Trying to Figure Out
- What are summoners most common questions?
- Amos, Jeremy, BOILΞRrat
- Researching [The Commons Stack](https://commonsstack.org/)
- Can we extend DAOhaus with an [Ocean Protocol](https://oceanprotocol.com/) boost?
- Contributing with [Algovera](https://www.algovera.ai/) and looking for opportunities to connect the DAOhaus and Algovera communities
- How can AI be used to create DAO governance simulations? (Wargames?)
- How can we create a DAO framework for the AI community?
#### ToDo
- [x] Message Amos
- [x] Send link to Figma design assets
- [x] Send at mentions related to Common Stack

Has also worked in data science programming with R.
Been learning Solidity and looking for opportunities to gain some practical experience.
Has done a bit of work with subgraphs. Interested in learning more.
He stepped up as a Project Manager with Raid Guild because he saw that was what was needed most. He is out of his comfort zone as a PM but willing to do what helps the most.
v2 support sounds good. Seems to align with his current skills. Concerned about getting put in a silo working on a legacy product.
DevRel not really align with his skillset.
Does not feel confident to jump in as a core contributor on v3. But interested in opportunities to level-up his skills.
It all sounds interesting. Just wanting to slot in where he can be useful. Ready to roll after this week.

### Steps He Took
### His Feedback on Resources
- overwhelming sending all of the documentation over to him
- a lot of philisophical and hardened processes
- the narrative is not cohesive
- medium & mirror posts brought a ton of philosophy
- product functionality isn't readily apparent
- people who come across DAOhaus have the potential to become overburdened by the philisophical elements of what we are communicating
- when he arrrived at the website (he would have bounced right away if he didn't already know what DAOhaus was before arriving)
- Practical > Philisophical
### What He Would Like to Do
- Came into DAOhaus with a general interest
- Ready to role his sleaves up and begin writing
- Trying to learn what is available to contribute to

Intimidated because she does not have Web3 experience. Gets the demon metaphors more than anything else.
Not quite sure with where to start getting involved with smaller projects. It has been good to talk to a couple people (Bau) but there is a lot to take in.

## UI369
### March 8, 2022
- Had some good laughs about - [disqualifying newbies](https://discord.com/channels/709210493549674598/752944461595803841/931283016108621924)
- Karate Kid Mr. Miage saying no, but getting the kid to keep at it through continuing to push at their critique
- Skepticism as a way to get peoples asking more questions or wanting to push harder.
>[name=Bau Questions for UI369]
**What was your first experience coming into DAOhaus?**
- UI369 was internally motivated to learn about DAOs. Through word of mouth UI369 heard about DAOhaus. He looked over the docs, was focused on educating himself, and he checked out some of the featured DAOs on the website.
- The linkage between the DAOs on the platform and what DAOhaus does is not clear
- Saw on the website that HausParty takes place every Thursday
- Turned into a working discussion with devs
- Blockchains and DAOs became the subsuming discussion
- UI369 felt like he made a cultural contribution, and when he returned, he felt welcomed back in the room.
- He was not expecting to contribute his voice in that way
- he received feedback from people right away.
**When you arrived into the discord, what was the first thing you did or thought about doing?**
- Not a sophisticated discord user, took a little bit to realize that certain buttons keep other channels gated
- Novice users have more difficulty seeing what needs to be clicked
- Understanding the flow and organization of the discord
- Started writing an article (in-progress)
- Showed up to meetings clarifying thoughts, asking good questions, keeping conversations on topic
- Created a Pull Request for the documentation
**Were you successful in accomplishing that thing**
- Yes - big break through in the past couple of days
**What tracks did you add after joining the server?**
- contributor track
- subsequently added all roles for visibility
**Were you able to find resources to support you along the way?**
- E2T reaching out and setting up a 1-on-1 where he could ask him questions
- E2T was a good first touch point for UI to discover what opportunities were available to him when joining.
**What resources were you able to find supporting you along the way?**
- DAOhaus docs
- People and support (Christina, Boilerat, Bau)
- UI369 created a Notion DAOhaus project board with to collate links
**How long was it before you spoke with a core team member?**
- HausParty on the first day in the discord
- Spoke with E2T the following week
**Would you say that onboarding to DAOhaus has been a high-medium-low effort?**
- Medium - Not high effort
- Persistance
**If you could take your time back and do this differently, what would you like to have known ahead of coming into the DAOhaus community?**
- Compensation - the path to getting paid in the DAO
- He got an early signal that there is a path to getting paid
- Just knowing that incentives are there if he wants to level up and get paid
- The mythos surrounding getting paid in relation to what work is considered valuable in our community
**What are the largest areas you see for improvement with the DAOhaus onboarding flow?**
- If it were legitimate onboarding, then there should be a checklist
- Identifying the culture fit & skill fit
- Figuring out what is a "valuable" contribution
**The current process is screening people for persistance and diligence**
- so this is a really positive outcome
- are there comitted people who would be really good that are being sniped by other similar organizations?
Creating a process that enables peoples

### January 20, 2022
#### Background
- Developer
- Applying for jobs
- Into purpose-driven organizations
- Belives in the power of Web3
- Accessible Persistance Layer
Previously a programmer with security clearance. Swore to never get a job again. Would prefer coaching to writing code.
Applying for jobs has helped him focus on what is important to him. Really wants to find a team to join and a way to contribute. Has background in Agile. Kinda struggling with all the finance metaphors in the space.
From his experience sometimes we ignore signals until it is too late. And avoid difficult situations and present an air of professionalism out of convenience.
Interest in governance as the neural layer. Comes from Holocracy.
Would like to learn more about DAOhaus operations and the Paladins circle.
#### Thoughts
Knows we are early in the primordial soup but recognizes the importance of structure. Exploring concept of governance and token voting. Has been checking out RabbitHole. Just cause you are voting does not mean you are doing everything right.
Check out the book [Slicing Pie](https://slicingpie.com/book/) about dynamic equity.
Really interested to find how what is behind the curtains. Who are the humans pulling the levers? This maybe something to make more visible to the community. Highlight the things that are invisible.
Appreciate you describing the path and providing a map that may have saved me a year from figuring it out myself.
Where do I go to find opportunities to contribute to the community?
#### Send
- [Reimagining Paladins](https://forum.daohaus.club/t/reimagining-paladins-as-a-dao-ops-research-and-dogfooding-group/3176/5) post
- Dework bounty boards

## bendobbrick
### December 9, 2021
#### Background
Had a good conceirge on-boarding call with @bendobbrick#1111 today (January 12, 2022).
He is building a tool for on-boarding flows. They are working with SharkDAO and PieDAO. Project is shaping up. Wireframing and prototyping. Building in public and will become a DAO.
He said although there are a few hoops you have to go through the on-boarding flow is pretty straightforward. He thinks it is laid out well almost like a quest.
#### Steps He Took
- 👋-welcome:
- 📜-castle-wall
- 🍻-tavern: Found advice from DAO members
- 🆕haus-roles: Opened up the different categories
- getting-started: Channels provided an overview of levels and different task lists
#### His Feedback
HausDAO/manifesto in 👋-welcome did not make it clear what the software/DAO is and what it means.
There maybe a few steps to simplify the flow for on-boarding contributors. What do we want them to do (on-boarding goals) and how do we get them there quickly? There are a lot of manual steps that are difficult to sort through without some help.
There were not enough links to the docs with additional information. Contributor payment structure (tips, epoch, tracks) was not clear.
#### Potential Next Steps
- Document on-boarding flow as a visual user journey
- Provide research on on-boarding flows in other DAOs
---
## Thoughts
### Bau
This should be the first question for folks entering the Discord:
1. What would you like us to know about you?
2. What brings you to DAOhaus?
3. Who or what helped you to find us?
Great first touch - tip upon introduction after entering the Discord.
This shows that we are willing to reward contributions and work in the Discord, also gives us an opportunity to present how folks can level up and be compensated through either (commitment or retroactive tracks)
