# Njordson Report: May, June and July 2022 Njord and Njordson are [Kanaria gems](https://url.rmrk.app/gems) that give their holders (technically, the holders of the NFT birds holding the gems) 19.7% of revenue from the RMRK team's future profits. For details, please see linked post. > ⚠ Remember! Being a Njordson holder is an active role! You **MUST** keep your Njordson equipped ALL month to be eligible for the drop. If you unequipped the gem at any point during the month, you will be skipped in that month's payouts and forfeit your share. If you bought a Njordson and the previous owner had it unequipped at any point in time, you also do not qualify and have to wait until the next month! *We skipped May because the expenses far exceeded profits in that month.* - June multi-sig earnings from commission and royalties: 854.64948 - June staking earnings: - Earnings from validator stake in month: 70.1797 - Earnings from Kraken stake in month: 247.7868694 - Earnings from MOVR stake in month: 165.99 - Total: 1363.842964 KSM The expenses in June were 144k USD, so there is no revenue distribution in June either. - July multi-sig earnings from commission and royalties: 395.75 - July staking earnings: - Earnings from validator stake in month: 21.35 - Earnings from Kraken stake in month: 228.49 - Earnings from MOVR stake in month: 123.85 - Total: 799.05 KSM The expenses in July were 137k USD, so there is no revenue distributuon in July either. _Note: Conversion from MOVR to KSM might not be fully accurate in today's prices because the price was taken at the time of calculation._ ## Land Sale Payout The Skybreach Land sale has been an unexpected success. By June 30th, the sale had collected 935,636 xcRMRK. As [initally promised](https://rmrk.gitbook.io/kanaria-skybreach/fundamentals/land/land-sale#njord-son), Njord/son holders would be entitled to 5% total of this amount: 46781.8. This means every Njord is entitled to 1187.355 RMRK and every Njordson to 237.471 RMRK. The RMRK will be sent to your [Statemine address](https://polkadot.js.org/apps/?rpc=wss%3A%2F%2Fstatemine-rpc.polkadot.io#/assets/balances). From there you can [bridge it to Moonriver](https://apps.moonbeam.network/moonriver/) xcRMRK or do anything else you want with it. To prevent sending money into accounts users may have forgotten about, we are integrating a _pull_ mechanic. This Njordson report is published as an NFT. Njord/son holders must emote on the report to acknowledge they have read and accepted the report, this emote action will trigger a payout to their account (within 48 hours). All Njord/son holders who do NOT emote on it within 6 months will forfeit their claim to their part of the revenue share. Their share will go into a DAO where tokenholders will decide how to best utilize these funds. This pull mechanic will give Njord/son holders the control to determine the timing of the payout to their specific needs, and will also ensure funds remain with those engaged with the project or used by the DAO for strategic project benefiting outcomes. ### How do I get paid? Resist project

Unprecedented wide-reaching sanctions are hitting the online world. At the same time, banks are panicking fearing bank-runs, and limiting people's withdrawals while being defended by tanks - the alternative is being held at gunpoint to release people's own money for medical bills. Countries are sinking into dystopian nightmare scenarios for anyone outside the political supercaste, and the only thing they all have in common is, in the past 5 years, they all said "this will never happen here". Meanwhile, in our "parallel economy", the 2021 bull market has made web3 lose all perspective of the greater mission and vision. Competing L1s popping up left and right, claming superiority, only to be proven fallible time and again. Developers following the loudest shills and largest bribes coming from the headquarters of these mockchains, building on anti-technology designed to fall apart at the gentlest breeze. The ecosystem is full of NFTs pretending to have utility, projects fundraising for 10 years only to deliver clumsy single-A "metaverses", sporting barely 1000 daily active users combined including bots. DeFi projects banning people without warning based on one badly designed sanctions list from North Korea USA. It is entirely realistic that the next step will be a license to publish smart contracts, and the requirement to have the contracts come with built in sanctions lists, or be banned from running special software in special jurisdictions. The Problems with Metaverses today and how to solve them

There are many definitions of metaverses, mostly configured to match whatever the defining party is selling. But if we go back to the origin of the word in Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash, we can rather safely extrapolate that a metaverse should be: A community-modifiable virtual environment in which a reasonably unique and digitally scarce representation of a real human can easily interact with other such representations, and permanently own the experience of those interactions. Dawn of the NFT Legos

All about Genesis Gems

Not all gems can be activated yet - implementing them requires some additional functionality which the RMRK team is currently building. Some gems are single-use and are burned on use. This is indicated in the descriptions below! When a certain gem can be activated, we will post on our Twitter, our announcement Telegram, our community Kanaria telegram, and our NFT telegram community, as well as our newsletter and the blog. Note that some gems in this list do not exist on the market because no bird rolled them in the initial hatching distribution. They will be available on the RMRK Gem marketplace in the near future.
