Education can help us understand the world better, make better decisions, and deal with problems more efficiently. It also helps us build skills for meaningful work. Every child should have the opportunity to receive an enlightened education, no matter where they come from. UNICEF says, "Every child should have the opportunity to receive an empowering education that will allow them to reach their full potential." ### What is enlightened education The main difference between enlightened Education and conventional Education is that the former's foundations lie in "self-inquiry" while the latter bases its foundations upon "instruction." Enlightened Education teaches you to ask questions and to know what you want. Conventional Education, on the other hand, is based on the principle of "instruction." It informs you of what to think and what to say. Enlightened Education teaches you how to be aware of what you are doing and act with greater consciousness and awareness. Conventional Education teaches you how to be mindless and do things without any purpose. ### Why Education is necessary for the evolution of society As society evolves with time, so do its needs. The education system should also evolve with the changing needs of society. Education, in this sense, is necessary for the evolution of society. However, as the pursuit of enlightenment through Education evolves society, Education itself must also evolve. The evolution of the education system is not just about changes in the curriculum and syllabus but also about changing practices, methods and techniques. It is about making Education more inclusive and accessible to all segments of society. Education encourages people to be independent thinkers and creators. Education helps people explore and learn about different cultures, religions, and lifestyles. It also teaches people how to become responsible citizens in their community. ### How OSS contributions are more valuable than software education certifications A degree is a certification that you have completed a certain amount of education and are qualified to do certain tasks. Open-source contributions are valuable as they show your expertise in the field.
