Hi everyone!

You're invited to the [Creative Freedom Summit](https://creativefreedomsummit.com/)! We have put together an exciting schedule of content centered around Open Source creative tools and how to use them. The Summit is a free virtual event, that requires no registration.

The Creative Freedom Summit is a great opportunity to participate, learn, and meet others interested in free software and Open Source creativity. I have included more details below, but please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions.

Dates: January 23 - 25th, 2024 (Tuesday - Thursday).

### How to join Element/Matrix

You'll need a Matrix network account to join the event live and to interact with other participants. If you don't already have an account you can create one via [Element's Create Account page](https://app.element.io/#/register). Element offers [free desktop or mobile apps](https://element.io/download) to join the summit. Element also offers a [web app](https://app.element.io/#/login) that allows you to join from your browser.

Once you have an Element account and preferred method of access, you can join the [Creative Freedom Summit Element/Matrix Channel](https://matrix.to/#/#creativefreedom:fedora.im) to interact with attendees at the event and watch other sessions.

The Summit is a free 3-day event, kicking off on Tuesday, January 23rd 2024 and running through Thursday, January 25th 2024. Each day will feature several informational sessions on various tools and topics related to Open Source creative software. The Creative Freedom Summit is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about Open Source tools, how and why to use them, as well as to connect with other creatives working in the Open Source ecosystem. I wanted to point you to an event a group of us in the Fedora community have put together that will run online next Tuesday - Thursday from Jan 23 - Jan 25.

It's called the Creative Freedom Summit. This free virtual event focuses on promoting open source creative tools, features, and the benefits of their use. The Summit is open to anyone interested in learning more about open source tools, how and why to use them, as well as connecting with other creatives working in the open source ecosystem. Have you (or someone you know - feel free to forward this info!) been wanting to learn more about or play around with Blender, Inkscape, Krita, and the like? This is your chance!! :)

Worth pointing out - we're hosting this event on an open source stack of software (of course!) using PeerTube, Matrix/Element, and Jitsi. We're following in the footsteps of a few other open source events that have used at least some if not all of this stack (including FOSDEM and Ansible's virtual events).
