Title: Creative Freedom Summit CfP 2024!
Hi everyone! We are excited to announce that there will be a second Creative Freedom Summit (January 23rd-25th, 2024)! If you're just hearing about the Summit, it is a virtual event focused on promoting the use of Creative Free Software. After 2023's exciting and successful debut, we have decided to organize another Summit for 2024.
While running last year's event, we had many requests to submit session proposals, so this year we are running a Call for Proposals. We welcome you to submit your ideas by November 24th, 2023 via the Fedora Project CfP Platform (A Fedora Account is not required). We are looking for the following themes for sessions:

Here’s how to do this cool thing or use this feature in this free & Open Source tool

I am excited to share that folks from the Fedora Design Team are kicking off organizing the Creative Freedom Summit for 2024! The inaugural virtual event in January 2023 was a monumental success with over 650+ attendees and stream viewers from across the globe. Are you interested in gaining experience in event coordination or any of the aspects that surround the virtual event execution? Maybe you'd simply like to gain more experience in Open Source. We'd love to have you join us as an organizer for the 2024 event!
How can I get involved?
Even though the organizing team is pleased with the outcome of the 2023 event, we are looking forward to improving this year's event experience and reach. Last year we had 650+ participants- and this year we are aiming to break 1000! In order to make the impact we hope to achieve- we need more folks on board to help out.
Here are some ways you can get involved:
Graphic/Interactive Design
Social Media
Communications

We welcome you (yes, you!) to join in an Art Challenge hosted by the Creative Freedom Summit and Fedora Design Team!
How to Participate:
The Art Challenge will run from June 1st through June 30th. The theme of this challenge is Open Source Super Hero. Create a piece of art using Free Software inspired by the theme.
Use the hashtag #creativefreedomchallenge on Twitter, Mastodon(Fediverse), Instagram, or TikTok. We also encourage you to use the hashtags #creativefreedomsummit and #opensourcesuperhero. The Summit team will be watching these hashtags and reposting as we are able. Optionally, tag the Fedora Design or Fedora accounts on each of these platforms:Twitter: @design_fedora
Mastodon(Fediverse): @fedora@fosstodon.org
Instagram: @fedora
TikTok: @fedoradesign
Post to the Art Challenge thread on Fedora's Discussion Forum. This requires a free Fedora account, which you can create using Fedora's Account system. At the end of the month, anyone who posts to this thread with a submission will receive a Fedora Badge! (Not sure what Badges are? Check out the Fedora Badges page to learn more.)

May 17th - Open Source Super Hero
Nikita's DesignUse the creative freedom summit logomark (grouped characters) in the left top banner instead of the fedora logo. The banner is kind of sticking out (very stark with the white against dark blue), maybe try a blue color here? or a light version of one of the colors in the logo(green, pink, or purple)? try adding a stroke like you've done with the billboard
I really like the billboard, but the white is sticking out.. maybe try matching this to whatever you do with the top left banner for cohesion. I think you can also add "Brought to you by the Creative Freedom Summit" text or the entire logo? I think you have added some thing grey at the bottom of the billboard- maybe those are what it's standing on? its hard to tell what it is... so I think you can either remove that or make it a bit more defined. I also think the white spotlights are very bright on this compared to the other spotlight in the middle, try reducing the opacity on those.
Add some more details to the design- which you can find in the shared notes. Most notably, I think we need to add in the dates of the challenge and where to find more information. June 1st-30th. Where the information will be is TBD, but I would say add in a piece of text to represent a link.
The details on the building are looking good, I think the white is sticking out a bit here, as well.. try reducing the opacity on those so they blend in a bit with the background
Madeline's Design
I think this design is nice- but I also really liked the more sketchy design you showed previously.. is there a reason you went with something more "slick"? I don't want to create a bunch more work for you, but that original design had something really nice about it :)
The top left and across the top banner is sticking out to me a bit.. I think it might be the different tones of white for the rectangle and the banner coming out? maybe using the same color with a drop shadow might be nice? I also think it feels slightly imbalanced because you have the bottom banner going off the right side of the page, it feels like this one should do that on the left side somehow?

Hi there,
I hope you are doing well! I am emailing today to let you know that the recordings from the Creative Freedom Summit have been edited and uploaded to PeerTube[0] and YouTube[1]. The PeerTube videos are listed on the Creative Freedom Summit Channel and the YouTube videos are listed on the Fedora Project Channel. We have automated closed captioning, and are working through edits on those as we are able.
The Summit team would like to check in with our speakers to make sure that the descriptions and licensing is accurate and as desired. Could you take a few moments to review the following links and let us know that all looks good? We are happy to make any requested updates, and will let you know once they have been implemented.
