# Summit at Summit Red Hat Summit 2024 is in Denver. Let's hike up a mountain afterwards. The hike will be on Friday, May 10, the day after Red Hat Summit. You might be able to catch a Friday evening flight home, depending on your destination. We're currently planning on this loop of the Morrison Slide Trail and Red Rocks Trail: * Komoot: https://www.komoot.com/tour/1470155628 Alternatively, we could do the Green Mountain Trail: * AllTrails: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/colorado/green-mountain-trail--4 Neither hike requires technical climbing experience or scrambling. ## Hikers Add your name if you plan to join. Also add time constraints if you have any (e.g. evening flight time), so we can plan. Don't have write access? Ping Shaun on chat and he'll do the edits for you. * Shaun McCance * Davide Cavalca (7pm flight out of DEN) * Amy Marrich (unless I get pulled into a meeting) * Michel Lind (assuming the route is not too steep) * Anita Zhang * Matthew Miller * Dorka Volavkova * Lenka Bocincova ## Schedule * 9:00 - Meet in the lobby of the Curtis. Shaun will have a rental car for 8 people delivered. * 9:15 - Leave. We'll stop along the way for sandwiches to pack and eat on the hike. * 10:00 - Start hiking. Komoot lists the hike as taking 2:15, but we're going to take it very slow and stop to eat. * 2:00 - Get back in the car. * 2:30 - Arrive back in downtown. ## What to bring * A decent backpack, comfortable that you can fit stuff in. * Water. About 2L. * Lunch. We'll stop for sandwiches on the drive over. Have room in your backpack. * Sunscreen. This is a very exposed trail. * Comfortable shoes with a good tread. General athletic shoes are fine. Hiking boots or trail runners are great if you have them already.
