Learn how to fix common problems or get warranty help. ### DETAILED INFORMATION ## Troubleshoot your DIRECTV STREAM device * Confirm that the cables of your device are well connected. * Restart your DIRECTV STREAM device. You can: * Press and release the red button on the side. * Unplug your device for at least 30 seconds, then plug it back in. * Check your internet connection * Press Start on your DIRECTV STREAM remote. * Choose Settings, then Help. * Select Troubleshoot, then Run Network Diagnostics. * Get more help with Internet, picture, or sound issues. ### Troubleshoot DIRECTV STREAM remote control * Disconnect (or unpair) your remote control from the DIRECTV STREAM device. * Press and hold the DASH (–) and APPS buttons until you see the LED lights on the remote flash blue twice. * Reboot your DIRECTV STREAM device by pressing and releasing the red button on the side of the device. * Point the remote at your DIRECTV STREAM device and press the FAST FORWARD and REWIND buttons at the same time to pair your remote with the device. ### Replace your DIRECTV STREAM device or remote Think your remote or device needs to be replaced? Take a look at the solutions below. **Resync Remote - Blue/Purple Lights** * On your remote, press Start. * Select Settings > System > System Settings. * Select Remote control and devices. * Select Program your remote. * Select TV or Speaker System according to your device. * Follow the directions. Make sure you are close enough to the DIRECTV STREAM BOX and pointing towards the IR receiver on the device. The remote lights will flash blue when paired. ### Make sure batteries are firmly in place - No lights Remove the battery cover, take out the batteries and put them back. If functions are restored, you are good to go. In some cases, you may need to re-pair your remote. ### Replace Batteries - Flashing Red Light Over time, the batteries lose their charge and a message to change the batteries will usually appear and the light will flash red. Low battery life can cause slow remote commands and prevent you from using the Google Assistant. Your remote may switch to IR mode, and in some cases you may need to re-sync the remote once the batteries are replaced. Note: AT&T does not ship replacement batteries. **switch to GO** **Some TVs may not support the Bluetooth function. It's ok, using IR is an option:** * Press and hold the Fast Forward (>>) and Rewind (<<) keys simultaneously. **The remote will default to IR mode when set up.** * Unpair the remote **If you need to move your DIRECTV STREAM Box to a new TV, you have the option to unpair the remote:** Hold down the Dash and Diamond keys simultaneously.
