## Notes
- According to their project [page](https://github.com/GRABOSM/Grab-Data), edits in Manila are currently limited around the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, and that they use **internal, non-public GPS traces** from Grab as an additional reference. However, this particular [editor](https://hdyc.neis-one.org/?harishpuppala) has already made numerous other edits outside of Metro Manila.
> As noted by someone from Grab data team, they are editing two area around airports in PH: Manila and Cebu. I overlooked Cebu. Mea Culpa. [name=Win Olario]
## Findings
> The quality of the edits made in this particular changeset is inconsistent. Numerous edits actually degraded the data quality (alignment) from its previous version. While this is not serious, and can be rectified, it needs to be pointed out to help improve imagery interpretation. The other edits are okay, but the changes found above should be corrected as soon as possible.
>
> We could minimize this issue if we learn how the imagery was mis-interpreted, and how it can be avoided in the future.

> Hello All,
>
> Thanks for your time in sharing feedback.
> A couple of things we request your help
> - What will be the appropriate zoom level that can be used while aligning or adding roads
> - We observed that you have used 40 zoom level. But, the Josm version we are using allows us to zoom at 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500
> - A quick observation from ourside on edits reported. When a connected road is edited by adjusting any of the node, then, connected segments to the same node are also reflecting under our ID in history, though we do not make any edits. We will however go ahead and correct the alignment(minor) for suggested segments.
>
> Second with reference to multiple edits outside Manila Metro, we are limiting our scope to a boundary of 2kms(for this airport, however, at some instances we take 5km radius) around the airport. This could be a possible reason on why you were able to see edits out of Manila Metro area by our user.
>
> Thanks for all your time and effort in helping us.

> Grab Team
> [name=Grab Team]
> Hi there. Thank you for the quick response
> Regarding your points:
> - Normally, we use 20m for improved accuracy. The 40m you saw on the screenshot was used for reviewing, not for editing.
> - Of course, even if you edit just a node, any attached segment is affected, and will reflect in your editing history. But changes are recorded for whatever kind of change was made (tags, geometry, alignment, etc.)
> - Please refer to OsmCha link in the refeference section above, and you will find the edits made by the Grab team, including the other edits in the Philippines, outside of the NAIA airport.
>
> Mind you, we welcome all mappers, we're just raising these issues to make sure we are on the same footing about the data quality we can expect from you, especially from paid mapping teams.
>
> Second, we would like to inquire about the person who we can talk to about the "internal GPS trace" that was mentioned in your project page. We're wondering if Grab is willing to make that public, similar to what Strava is doing with their GPS traces. They are very useful for many other mappers.

> Hello Olario,
>
> We sincerly appreciate your time and effort in helping us getting onboard quickly and precisely understand community requirements
> We use OSMCHA and Achavi on regular basis while performing quality checks.
> We will ensure 20M zoom is used while mapping
>
> With reference to Grab GPS traces you may want to contact GRAB community lead LILIAN as mentioned in our project page.
>
> Edits outside of NAIA airport are becuse we picked up a boundary with 2km radius. Please suggest if you found any random edits by our user far away from the mentioned radius boundary. We will also have a close check on this. Thanks once again.
> As we speak we are making the alignment corrections on suggested segments in this doc.
>
> Thanks
> [name=Grab Team]
> I'm happy to see your quick response, and your receptiveness for feedback. We're looking forwar to a fruitful enagement with the Grab data team.
> With regard to the other changes I mentioned, please take a look at the following, which are obviously outside of the 5km radius you mentioned:
> - https://openstreetmap.org/changeset/59166993
> - https://openstreetmap.org/changeset/59144328
>
> These edits were made two weeks ago, and you may easily find them using OsmCha. There are more changesets in the Cebu area, which was not mentioned in the project page.
> That's a minor concern. Feel free to edit anywhere as you may please, as long as you keep with the local conventions, and ensure that quality is actually imrpoved.
> With regard to the GPS traces, they were mention in this section of your GH repo: https://github.com/GRABOSM/Grab-Data/blob/master/Sources%20Used
> I'll get in touch with Lilian. Is it okay to post an issue in your GH page, or would you prefer to receive communication by email?[name=Win Olario]
> Hello Erwin,
> Guess Email communication would be better :)
> And with reference to CEBU edits, yes, we have worked on Mactan-CEBU international airport.
> We have mentioned the list of airports we would be working on in our project page and CEBU is included. [name=Grab Team]
> I may have overlooked Cebu from the list, but thanks for the feedback. Do let me know what the email address is, otheriwse I'll post the request as an issue in your GH repo.
> Thanks [name=Win Olario]
> Hello,
> Here is the email-id ~~redacted~~
> We will revert after making the suggested alignment edits
> And also cross check on the edits which are far away fom 5km radius
> Thanks. Grabteam
> [name=Grab Team]
> Thank you! I have an email for Lilian. /[name=Win Olario]
