## Meeting structure
### Very non-fixed schedule
**DAY 1**
8:30 - 3x 15-minute lab presentations
- Zahra
- Berendonk
- Ruppé
9:30 - Coffee break / Social
10:00 - 3x 15-minute lab presentations
- Forslund
- Coelho
- Bengtsson-Palme
11:00 - Subgroup presentation of SOPs on Sampling
- Suggested responsible for presentation
11:30 - Subgroup presentation of SOPs on Bioinformatics (except novel ARGs)
- Suggested responsible for presentation
12:00 – **Team photo shoot**
12:10 - Lunch/Dinner
e.g. 13:00 - [Social activity](#social-activities)
- **skribbl.io (favorite)**
- powerpoint karaoke/ guess who mix
- pictures describing personal life in slides
- someone else giving a talk upon these slides
- people guess who made up the slides
- **NEW:** REMI proposed "protocol sharing" but instead of sharing microbiology lab protocol you share a dish recipe (your specialty)
- you give a name to your dish with the recipe and pictures of the process and the ending result
- we can add a little guess of who cook this specialty etc.
**DAY 2**
8:30 - Summary/Discussion of where we are and where to go next (papers, WP goals etc.)
Per WP ~15 min each:
- WP1: Establish a robust protocol for high-throughput AMR monitoring
- WP2: Reanalyzing previous and upcoming public data to establish an ARG baseline
- WP3: Generating new datasets for understudied key environments for monitoring
- WP4: Employing data mining to detect emerging resistance threats
Quick reminder on future WPs
- *upcoming WP5: Identifying specific high-importance target genes for monitoring*
- *upcoming WP6: Integrating data to create a cost-effective monitoring framework*
10:00 - Coffee Break
10:15 – EMBARK History Overview
10:30 – Reporting
10:45 - Small room discussions on career moves
11:00 - Open discussion time
12:00 - Lunch/Dinner
*Later* – PI banging their heads against the wall
*Later* – Young scientists banging their heads against the wall, but with more passion
### invited speakers (shift to winter meeting?)?
Probably not at this point, but think about if there is some speaker we would like to *discuss* out approaches and protocols with.
Amy Pruden, for example.
### live-tweeting?
Yes, but we should have a clear policy on what things **NOT** to tweet!
Last year: https://twitter.com/EMBARK_JPIAMR/status/1328432699091116032
## Themes and activities
### Initial protocol establishment
- Sampling, sample processing, experimental work
- Bioinformatics
- Comparison of methods (perhaps postpone to a later meeting, or do some initial brainstorming without embarrasing facts)
### Novel ARG detection strategies and candidates
**Seems like this is going to largely be moved to a later meeting**
- Bioinformatics predictions
- fARGene
- "3D-BLAST"
- Guilt-by-association
- Mutational resistance identification
- Functional metagenomics
- Experimental verification of novel ARGs
- Other fancy lab approaches
*Comparison of methods (perhaps postpone to a later meeting, or do some initial brainstorming without embarrasing facts)*
*Novel ARG detection strategies and candidates*
## Social activities
- **Guess Who?** Ice breaker game: guessing who is who from the young me photos
- **Topic chats** similar to the Donut/Random coffee concept, we share some topic ideas and you can join the room/group according to the topic (Pets, Netflix Shows recommendation, Sports Activities, Holiday locations, etc.) (30-45 min long)
- [**Drawful**](https://www.jackboxgames.com/drawful-two/) People are given topics/things to draw and others have to guess what it is; you can start a private game room for your team to play https://skribbl.io/ **Johan+1**
- **Academic bingo** if you get a line, a row, or a diagonal - you get to shout "Bingo!"
- [**Among Us**](https://among-us.io/) a free downloadable game for your smartphone or tablet. The goal of this multiplayer game is to complete your tasks and survive or find the dangerous imposter and vote them off. Can you survive and find the imposter or will you be knocked out into space?
- [Powerpoint karaoke](https://www.powerpointkaraoke.com/)
- either via commertial provider (40$)
- or everyone prepares slides and we shuffel them ourselfs
- **IDEA:** Everyone does a presentation on e.g. their career path, but only with pictures (no photos of themselves), guess who made the presentation
- **NEW:** REMI proposed "protocol sharing" but instead of sharing microbiology lab protocol you share a dish recipe (your specialty)
- you give a name to your dish with the recipe and pictures of the process and the ending result
- we can add a little guess of who cook this specialty etc
## Ideas to save for a later date
- [**Geoguessr**](https://www.geoguessr.com/) google street view, you end up somewhere and in a certain amount of time you have to guess where you are.
- PRICE for 30 participants: €69.99 per month.
- **A Virtual Escape Room** [Moonshot](https://www.tryreason.com/moonshot2/) Sci-fi Adventure team escape experience (60 min long)
- PRICE for 20 participants: 600 USD
- [**A Day Out in Paris**](https://woyago.com/home/virtual-team-building-hangouts/paristeamhangout/) we can have a virtual walk or a bike ride or a party in Paris (60-90 min long)
- PRICE for 20 participants: 540 USD
- The organizers of the meeting sending to all the participants **a beer tasting set for the social gathering evening**!
- **Gif game** each of us will anonymously add GIFs (or pictures) that represent who we are, in categories (e.g. A music artist I like), and then, when we get together over Zoom, we are going to guess which GIFs belong to each of us.
### Bingo board ideas:

- [BINGO](https://myfreebingocards.com/bingo-card-generator)
- mini project pitches [past/upcomming projects not necessarily EMBARK] (2min/5min?) by all participants
- BINGO cards will be generated beforehand
- every BINGO wins a shot
