    # Request for Proposal (RFP) ## Juno Network Blockchain Maintenance Provider ###### tags: `RFP` `Juno` `Development Department` ## Project Overview: Juno Network Development Department is seeking proposals from qualified individuals or teams to fulfill the role of `Blockchain Maintenance` for [Juno Network](https://junonetwork.io), which operates within the Cosmos ecosystem. The selected candidate(s) will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the Juno Network blockchain infrastructure, ensuring stability, scalability, and efficiency. ## Scope of Work: The scope of work includes but is not limited to: 1. **Juno Network Maintenance and Optimization:** - Regular maintenance and optimization of the Juno Network blockchain infrastructure, including both a **MAINNET** production chain, and a **TESTNET** development chain. 2. **Protocol Upgrades and Version Management:** - Coordination and execution of protocol upgrades specific to the Juno Network, including version management and release planning. 3. **Interchain and Cross-Chain Functionality:** - Development and integration of features to facilitate interchain communication and cross-chain functionality within the Juno Network. 4. **Infrastructure Development and Operations:** - Building and maintenance of Juno Network blockchain infrastructure components, including Faucet API and node synchronization tools. 5. **Documentation and Communication:** - Updating and improving documentation specifically tailored for the Juno Network blockchain modules and features to ensure clarity and usability. 6. **Feature Development and Integration:** - Integration of new features and functionalities into the Juno Network blockchain protocol, ensuring seamless integration and compatibility. 7. **Testing and Quality Assurance:** - Comprehensive end-to-end testing for Juno Network blockchain modules and features to ensure functionality and reliability. 8. **Community Engagement and Collaboration:** - Collaboration with the Juno Network community and other stakeholders to gather feedback and insights for continuous improvement and community-driven development. ## Proposal Requirements: Interested parties are requested to submit proposals that include the following: 1. Overview of qualifications and relevant experience in blockchain development, particularly within the Juno Network or the Cosmos ecosystem. 2. Proposed approach and methodology for fulfilling the scope of work outlined above, specifically tailored for the Juno Network. 3. Timeline for project execution, including key milestones and deliverables related to Juno Network maintenance and optimization, including: * Chain Module maintenance and deployment * Security Patch development, deployment, and execution 5. Budget and cost breakdown, including rates for hourly or project-based compensation specific to tasks and services. 6. References or portfolio of previous projects related to Juno Network or Cosmos ecosystem blockchain maintenance and optimization. ## Service Level Agreement (SLA): The selected candidate(s) will be expected to adhere to a Service Level Agreement (SLA) that includes but is not limited to: - Response time for addressing critical issues. - Availability for maintenance and upgrades. - Regular reporting schedule. ## Technologies and Software Used on Juno Network: The Juno Network utilizes various technologies and modules within the Cosmos ecosystem, including: - **Cosmos-SDK**: Building custom blockchain applications and modules for the Juno Network. - **CosmWasm**: Smart contract platform for deploying WebAssembly smart contracts on the Juno Network. - **Interchain Communication (IBC)**: Protocols enabling interoperability and communication between different blockchains within the Cosmos ecosystem. - **TokenFactory**: Module for creating and managing tokens, particularly for DAOs and developers on the Juno Network. - **Packet-Forward-Middleware**: Middleware module facilitating IBC transfers and cross-chain functionality. - **GlobalFee**: Module controlling minimum gas fees through governance on the Juno Network. - **x/POA (Proof of Authority)**: Module managing and enforcing validator sets and governance on the Juno Network. - **x/async-icq**: Module executing queries over IBC from other chains. - **x/drip**: Module for airdropping tokens to all Juno stakers. - **x/clock**: Module for per-block contract execution and logic. - **x/FeePay**: Module allowing contract developers to pay for transaction fees of users within predefined limits. - **x/cw-hooks**: Module for subscribing to staking and governance events in smart contracts. These technologies and modules collectively contribute to the functionality, security, and stability of the Juno Network blockchain infrastructure. ## Submission Guidelines: Proposals summaries should be submitted via our [Contact Form](https://t.co/GrB0qoTXe2) no later than end of day, **April 5th, 2024**. Please include "Juno Network Blockchain Maintenance Engineer Proposal" in the Summary line and provide a link to a full bid document or method of contact to transmit a bid document. Late submissions will not be considered. ## Evaluation Criteria: Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria: - Demonstrated experience and expertise in maintaining and optimizing Cosmos SDK blockchains. - Clarity and feasibility of proposed approach and methodology tailored for the Juno Network. - Alignment with Juno Network long-term goals and objectives. - Cost-effectiveness and budget considerations specific to Juno Network-related tasks. - References and track record of successful project delivery within the Cosmos Ecosystem or other similar blockchain technologies and ecosystems. ## Selection Process: Candidates may be contacted to participate in a public meeting prior to determining the winning bid.
