Welcome to the DAOhaus Contributor Compensation Form! The questions in this form will gather input that will help determine how you want to be compensated for your contributions for the first compensation cycle (2 months) of our new compensation program.
You can read more about the Warcamp contributor compensation program here [insert link].
This can be your real name or a psuedonym.
We'll use this to identify you within the DAOhaus discord server.
This is the address you'll use for all DAO and operational activities for DAOhaus, eg requesting funds, voting on proposals, etc. It must be an address you control on the xDAI network. It must not be a centralized exchange address.
Select one or more of the following. In DAOhaus and Warcamp, contributors have full autonomy to work on what they're interested in. Many contributors work across multiple circles, and many focus on just one domain.
The Warcamp contributor compensation program has two tracks.
In the Commitment Compensation Track, contributors commit to contributing a certain amount to DAOhaus and are paid a consistent, flat amount each month in return. This track offers more compensation certainty and clearer expectations, but is less flexible.
In the Reotractive Compensation Track, contributors do work for the DAO and are paid retroactively based on how much value they contributed in a given month. This track is more flexible, but offers less certainty about opportunities
This is the percentage that you are committing to DAOhaus and Warcamp over the next 2 months. It is one of two main factors determining your base compensation (estimate your compensation in this spreadsheet).
100% represents the level of "Full Commitment". While commitment will manifest in different ways for different contributors, Full Commitment can be described by some mix of the following:
- Full time (35-40+ hrs/week*)
- DAOhaus is your top priority
- DAOhaus is your main point of focus*
- Willing to go above and beyond to make DAOhaus succeed
*Note: the 100% Commitment level reserves some time for projects outside of DAOhaus.
Enter your Commitment percentage below. You may enter any value between 1 and 100, though keep in mind it may be easier to deal with round numbers (eg 40%) or common fractions (eg 66%).
This represents the value that you expect to deliver to / create for DAOhaus with your contributions. Value Level is the second of two main factors determining your base compensation (estimate your compensation in this spreadsheet).
Measuring expected value is challenging and subjective. High value can come from many places, including experience with DAOhaus, domain-specific knowledge, or skill-specific talent. With all this in mind, here we ask you to make a self-assessment based on the sample rubric below.
The DAO will review (and potentially make adjustments to) your Value Level prior to the start of the compensation cycle.
Level 1: Novice
- New to crypto, web3, and DAOs
- Some experience within their area(s) of interest
- Just beginning to gain knowledge
Level 2: Learning
- Some experience with crypto, web3, and DAOs
- Moderate experience within their area(s) of interest
- A little knowledgeable about DAOhaus
Level 3: Solid
- Experienced in crypto, web3, and/or DAOs
- A couple years of experience in their area(s) of interest
- Pretty knowledgeable about DAOhaus
- Shows promise, but needs practice and refinement
Level 4: Expert
- Expert in crypto, web3, and/or DAOs
- Many years of experience in their area(s) of interest
- Very knowledgeable about DAOhaus
- Very talented
Level 5: Master
- Mastery in crypto, web3, and/or DAOs
- Recognized leader in their area(s) of interest
- Extremely knowledgeable about DAOhaus
- Highly talented
Given the subjectivity involved in assessing and predicting value, we ask that you tell us roughly what basis you used for determining the Value Level you selected in the previous question.
In other words, which of the following dimensions make you most qualified for the Value Level you selected in the previous question?
Select all that apply.
At DAOhaus, base compensation is a mix of a dollar stablecoin (DAI) and our community token (HAUS). You are free to choose the right mix for you, up to 50% HAUS.
To ensure incentive-alignment between DAOhaus and its contributors, HAUS received as part of base compensation should not be sold for two years. This is initially a soft requirement (aka social contract) until we determine the best approach to vesting or lockup.
You are encouraged to request the amount of DAI that you need so that you do not face financial pressure to sell your HAUS prior to the "unlock" date.
The DAOhaus community is only as strong as the bonds that bring us all together, and our values are the most fundamental of those bonds. Before the DAO and new contributors make mutual commitments to each other, we ask that contributors commit to upholding the following DAOhaus and Warcamp values:
