    # **研究緣起與背景** >筆者目前為電機系大二生,在探索未來生涯規劃時常覺得這個時代變化與資訊太多,以至於很容易在錯誤的目標中迷失方向。為了解決自己的這些小迷惘,自己常去圖書館看科技業相關雜誌與社會科學類的新潮書籍,發現SDGs與ESG等以永續社會有關的議題,不斷地被討論。有別於我過往對熱門議題的消遣性、噱頭性看法,筆者認為這正是我們世代需要不斷反思的核心目標,它們可以不光是一種指標性的標準,乃是對自己人生上希望帶給世界一些貢獻的動力與存在意義。 > [color=#dea27c] > [name=張星瑀 Sheena] # 何謂ESG? 在談論該主題之前,筆者想先提及SDGs的概念與想像: ## **據UN聯合國對SDGs的介紹:** >The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, **provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future**. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership. > *Reference:* https://sdgs.un.org/goals#implementation 簡單來說,這是為永續發展設計的一個藍圖,其中包含了17項大目標: 1. 終結貧窮 No Poverty 2. 消除飢餓 Zero Hunger 3. 健康與福祉 Good Health and Well-Being 4. 優質教育 Quality Education 5. 性別平權 Gender Equality 6. 淨水及衛生 Clean Water and Sanitation 7. 可負擔的潔淨能源 Affordable and Clean Energy 8. 合適的工作及經濟成長 Decent Work and Economic Growth 9. 工業化、創新及基礎建設 Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure 10. 減少不平等 Reduced Inequalities 11. 永續城鄉 Sustainable Cities and Communities 12. 責任消費及生產 Responsible Consumption and Production 13. 氣候行動 Climate Action 14. 保育海洋生態 Life below Water 15. 保育陸域生態 Life on Land 16. 和平、正義及健全制度 Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions 17. 多元夥伴關係 Partnerships for the Goals ![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/r1AkkS9u3.jpg) *圖片截自:https://sdgs.un.org/goals#implementation* *聯合國影片介紹:https://youtu.be/0XTBYMfZyrM* *詳見懶人包:https://futurecity.cw.com.tw/article/1867* 雖然這是一份於2015年提出,並希望在2030年前各國家可以朝向的永續發展目標,但在轉眼間,筆者於書寫的當下,這個Agenda就僅剩7年了。看得出來這些目標其實蠻多且廣泛,而ESG就是解決這些問題的手段之一,舉例來說,當我們把這17項上至國家政策下至個人選擇的全球性目標比喻為一個目的地,ESG就像是前往這個目的地的其中一種交通工具。 ## **那麼ESG究竟是什麼神奇的東西?** >ESG是3個英文單字的縮寫,分別是**環境保護(Environment)、社會責任(Social)和公司治理(Governance)** ,聯合國全球契約(UN Global Compact)於2004年首次提出ESG的概念,被視為評估一間企業經營的指標。 > [color=#ed620c] *Reference:* https://www.managertoday.com.tw/articles/view/62727?utm_source=copyshare 最近工業界關注度很高的「淨零碳排」可說就是從這兩個議題延伸出的產物,但SDGs與ESG不一樣的點在ESG是市場參照的投資標準,這意味著它存在著獲利的機會,亦代表評斷一個企業的標準不再僅限於財務資訊,而是具納入更多具社會、環境、永續發展責任等的其他資訊。 *延伸閱讀:* **今周刊ESG永續台灣**https://esg.businesstoday.com.tw/ {%youtube hD0TeKHB0eU%} 我們有了先前對SDGs的概念後,可以想像得到若將那17項核心目標與ESG的3個面向做結合,讓企業的目標不單向只考慮獲利,而是朝著更多元意義的方向前進。這樣不僅幫助企業有長期發展的規劃方向,也是為我們的地球有更系統性、更全面的保護,同時對我們自己本身在身心靈上有更[好](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GorqroigqM&ab_channel=TheStoryofStuffProject)的保障。 *圖片截自:https://blog.hamibook.com.tw/%E5%95%86%E7%AE%A1%E7%90%86%E8%B2%A1/esg%E5%85%A5%E9%96%80-%E5%BE%9Esdgs%E5%BB%B6%E4%BC%B8%E5%87%BA3%E5%A4%A7%E5%8E%9F%E5%89%87%EF%BC%8C%E5%BC%B7%E8%AA%BF%E7%92%B0%E5%A2%83%E3%80%81%E7%A4%BE%E6%9C%83%E3%80%81%E6%B2%BB%E7%90%86/?p=178936* ![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/B1-JFqcdh.jpg) (延伸影片:筆者所謂更「好」的意涵可看下方Annie Leonard的影片) {%youtube 9GorqroigqM%} ## **小結**: 總的來說,ESG可說是現今時代面臨種種環境、政策等複雜因素,以及科技進步引領的資訊爆炸時代下,讓企業可以從核心目標去做技術改善、節能減碳、塑造更愛地球的文化、實現公平正義的價值目標與準則。 # ESG與智慧管理、智慧科技、智慧製造、智慧工具的關聯? 企業從過去傳統模式邁向數位轉型的新時代必考量到不少設備、系統、甚至是人員的汰換,其規模小至設備中零件的保養,大至建立或更新[ERP系統](https://www.sap.com/taiwan/products/erp/what-is-erp.html)。但這些過程除了需要仰賴專業技術人員在各項設施的智慧,更需要管理階層的人員去明確了解與確認自身企業在該領域的定位與未來發展。舉例來說,光是確認一間工廠內設備馬達故障與耗能情形及其低效率原因就有可能花上許多時間和成本,而在「發現問題」後找到「解決問題」的方案,以及實現解決方案的可能性、風險評估就又是另一回事的成本與計劃考量。 ## **既然這麼麻煩,為何還是需要去做?** >「針對ESG帶來的挑戰,能夠更深入了解,並逐步因應的廠商,不僅不會被減碳浪潮淹沒,反而可以有效提升產業競爭力。」 [name=廖專崇(2023)。淨零轉型打造韌性競爭力。新電子科技雜誌,446,P.28。][color=#127cb5] 筆者認為不論是AI、大數據、工業4.0、數位轉型、元宇宙、Chatgpt等,新穎的工具被推廣到市面上,喜不喜歡、適不適用都還是看使用者(企業)自己的需求,如果有達到那就有再進一步討論其實用性的意義。不可否認,這些新型轉態所帶來的衝擊,會帶來淘汰但同時也會帶動新的商機,這些未知的「新商機」有別於過去,如上述討論SDGs所提,能帶來除了財務以外更深具含義的益處。 回歸到智慧某某與ESG的關聯,筆者無法保證這些新穎工具能帶來的效益,但是筆者更願意去相信它的發展是不可限制的,正如相信隨著人類的發展,我們彼此是有共識地更希望世界可以趨近於一個更和平、永續的社會。 而在現實技術上,筆者認為智慧管理與ESG可說是相輔相成的概念,*(若您有不同的想法,很歡迎留言交流)*,例如我們期待大數據為我們蒐集的資料,可以成為我們在評估風險或開拓市場時,能帶來有效的資訊;而得到這些資訊後,如何使用人的智慧去破譯、理解與應用,正是人們需要抱持ESG或SDGs等目標的意義。 或是當一個工廠決定建立起他們的智慧製造感測聯網,則每個單機至整線的製程中,都會有明確的數據、資料顯示,以便系統或操作人員執行或決策。這樣的「[無燈工廠](https://finance.technews.tw/2019/08/05/foxconn-longhua-factory-automated-manufacturing/)」可以和SDGs中第9項:「工業化、創新及基礎建設」做連結,達到「提高能源使用效率、大幅採用乾淨環保的科技與工業製程,以升級基礎建設、改造工業達成永續。」就這一點,如上圖所示即可滿足ESG中的Governance(公司治理)。(*Reference:https://futurecity.cw.com.tw/article/1296)* 再者,延續上一段的例子,工廠若想更進一步提高產業競爭力,可以朝著SDGs中第12項:「促進綠色經濟,確保永續消費及生產模式」邁進,也就是ESG中的Environment(環境)。對於台灣工業而言,除了近期常聽聞的淨零減碳相關的綠能行動,亦可以期待政府或民間的新型技術服務,所提供的循環材料或針對大型耗能設備的節能診斷。可參考以下網站: ## 經濟部工業局產業輔導>永續發展規劃: https://www.moeaidb.gov.tw/ctlr?PRO=project.rwdProjectList&cate=101# ![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/HJ3ErA9_h.jpg) # 總結 從智慧管理看ESG於科技企業的意義,可涵蓋許多面向,且在這其中所包括的各種技術都有無限的可能性與發展。筆者總結ESG對科技產業除了是一個需要不斷追求的指標外,更是可以牽動整個社會發展的價值目標與信念。
