snap-01 RAM

  • 1 lowest level cell faulting.
  • It is at primary now. Throwing memory controller erros and correcter errors. Getting double-bit failures and server reboots. Potential data corruption.
  • Emergency maintenance done. Not a permanent fix.

Decision: Wait and schedule something in the next 3 months.

DB server drives

Concern: if we have enough bays in that machine. 24 NvME.

  • Snap02 faulty memory issues went away after rebouting. Dnap02 and 01 are identical.
  • Ysera faulty memory - fixed.

Action item: Grant to find equivalent storage options for Karm and Eddie.

DDOS

  • HE net came back with break down on amount of traffic. 2,5 hours ago was the last time of traffic.
  • Traffic went up to 4200 Mbits/sec
  • They were saturating the traffic.

Other points mentioned during discussion

  • Hiding things makes harder to manage things.
  • Once someone can flood upling, few things to do.
  • HE.net have an very expensive product allowing port-based filtering. Allows 50 rules.
  • UDP or port80
  • Upstream IP on a single address and Cloudflare behind - then relying on Cloudflareas provider.

Action item: Consider whether to add extra filters.
