# Elden Ring Unrestricted% Speedrun Route
**Speedrun route for Elden Ring Unrestricted%, game version 1.04 and below**
If you want to contact me, you can do so via Discord: `ViRazY#0594`
It heavily makes use of zips, which you can read up on here: https://hackmd.io/e5_bzQiCRjiAhdv7Eq5Dhg?view
A move timing of 7, 8 or 10 is assumed and required for many setups listed here.
The basic idea is to zip to belfries, teleport to farum, ww to main land, zip to maliketh and zipkill him, zip up to the last boss and zipkill him too.
The class used for this is vagabond, since it allows you to easily switch between medium and heavy load from the start. Medium and heavy load give you different zip distances, which is important for most setups in the run.
It is important that you do NOT activate any graces during the run, or the FQWW in farum will fail!
Keep in mind this document focuses on showcasing the route and setups in a way that they are easily reproducible and understandable. Many of them are quite lenient and their positions/alignments can be "yolo'd" with some practice.
> ###### *Note: There is still some rerouting in progress currently and this document may not include the latest findings right away. Once the rerouting is mostly done, this document will be rewritten to include new strats, as well as different setups for the same zip/destination.*
## Chapel of Anticipation -> Stormveil / Lake-Facing Cliffs
First we gotta zip to stormveil to make liurnia load.
Grab the item, run to the door and save+quit as soon as you interact with it. Load back in and you will spawn in the doorway, saving some time by skipping the animation.
After that, run towards the platform with the stairs and while doing that, unequip both your helmet and weapon to get to medium load.
You can also unequip the halbert instead if you want, but doing it with the helmet and sword allows you to quickly equip and unequip only the sword to swap between medium and heavy load.
When you reach the platform, you need to stand roughly on the nail at the end of the second wooden plank in the first row:

Once there, turn around and look at the right edge of the spawn building. The corner is a sort of pillar and you wanna align the middle of your compass with the right edge of the top (thinner) half of the pillar:

Now just do a zip and you should end up high in the air above the back exit of stormveil castle. In particular you will fall down above the back edge of the large tower:

If everything goes right, you will end up landing inside it:

From there just run to the stairs towards lake-facing cliffs.
## Lake-Facing Cliffs -> Academy Gate
Next we gotta zip to the academy gate. This requires you to be on heavy load again, so equip the sword again while you are running to the setup spot!
Run up the stairs and through the bushes/trees to the left of the path and to the rowa fruit bush next to the cliffs/rocks:

Once there, look at the ground in front of the bush, close to the rock on the left. You will see a small spot of dirt, which you gotta stand on top of:

Like this:

Once you are in the correct spot, look back towards the castle and you will see a slightly larger tree in the back. Put the middle of your compass a tiny bit to the right of the right edge of the base:

Now do a normal zip and if everything goes right, you will land on the ramp to the academy (you will take fall damage):

## Academy Gate -> Belfries -> Farum
Now we gotta zip up to belfries. Luckily, the ramp or path to the gate acts as a perfect slope to zip up to the chest. Make sure you unequip your sword again, you gotta be at medium load this time!
You will notice the sort of stone rows going down the ramp. You wanna stand right in the middle of the third row from the top after the seal:

There just aim the middle of your compass right between the tower with the chest and the one left of it:

You got a bit of wiggle room here and it doesn't really matter too much if you aim a bit further left or right. You will just land slightly different, but you should be fine.
You will land somewhere close to the chest at the top:

Just grab the key from there, run down to the portal to farum and teleport to it.
## Farum -> Maliketh Arena
Next we gotta make our way over to maliketh.
You will notice that you spawn on a small island and not the main part, so you gotta do a so-called "force-quit wrong warp", or FQWW, to get over. To do that, use a memory of grace and when the loading bar makes its first jump to about 10% or so, force-close the game using Alt+F4 and boot it back up immediately.
You will end up spawning somewhere else:

Next you wanna run to the end of that bridge and jump down on the right until you are in the first room from which you can see the tornado and maliketh arena.
Here you will have to do a precise setup to zip over to the maliketh arena.
First you walk into this corner:

Next you turn around and look at one of the pillars. You gotta align the middle of your compass with one of the corners of the square base:

Like this:

Now you do a normal zip and you will land on top of the maliketh arena:

## Maliketh Zipkill
Now this is where the fun begins. Fighting maliketh without having even completed the tutorial against the grafted scion would not end well, so we are just not gonna do that.
After landing on top of the arena, you wanna turn around and run through this window:

The wall doesn't have collision, so you can just run through it. Next you gotta stand next to the last pillar here:

Now just align the middle of your compass with the corner of the tiled roof, like this:

Then just do a megazip and spam attack to reset your fall timer as soon as possible.
If everything went right, maliketh will fall to his death, you will see the phase transition animation and be teleported into the arena:

## Maliketh Phase 2
But wait, where is phase 2? Well, since we never went through the fog gate, the boss never actually activated, so phase 2 never spawned. To get around that, we gotta zip back around to the fog gate and re-enter the arena through it.
To do that, turn around and look at one of the pillars behind you. You gotta run to this spot near it:

Once there, look at the ground and stand on the intersection of some of the ground markings, like this:

Then look at the large pillar on the left. Place the middle of your compass right in the center of the visible part of the small pillar on the right where it intersects with the horizontal beams, like this:

Now do a normal zip on heavy load and you will land in front of the fog gate.
As soon as you enter the fog gate, phase 2 will spawn in, but you got some time to megazip out.
Immediately look to your left and run into this corner next to the fog gate:

While running into it, align the middle of your compass with the corner, like this:

Next you gotta do 2 backsteps and look towards the first pillar on the left side in the arena.
Put the middle of your compass right between the left edge of the horizontal base in the middle of the pillar and the right edge of the pillar on the wall in the background:

Now do a megazip and attack after about 3 seconds to extend your fall timer. If timed correctly, this will be barely enough for phase 2 to die right before you die and fade out, sending you to the ashen capital. The timing can be a bit tight, so make sure you practice it a few times.
## Endgame
We are already at the end. Only 2 more zips to go! Make sure you are on heavy load!
Once you spawn in, do not move. You are already in the perfect spot for a zip straight to the boss.
If you look towards the tree, you will notice a small tower with walls behind it. Align the middle of your compass with the highest bump in the wall, like this:

Just do a normal zip like that and you will land next to the final boss, but out of bounce:

Next you gotta gotta find a rather flat surface and stand on it, like this pillar:

Now do a megazip and just like maliketh phase 2, attack after about 3 seconds. This extends your fall timer barely enough to zipkill both the final boss and the lion dude.
You will first be teleported to phase 2 of the lion dude and you just **stand still and do nothing**. He will grab you, kill you, but just when your screen is about to fade out, the final boss dies too and you will be teleported to the end platform.
Just run to the statue and activate it and you are done!
You may now grab a glass of water and hate yourself for playing this category!
