## Innovating 3D Wearable Interoperability Standards
As mainstream society dives deeper into the digital world, more and more people will tie their physical or "real" identities with their digital ones. At the moment, for the majority of people, there is still a "disconnect" between who they are in the real world and who they are online -- but this will change, especially as the two worlds continue to merge.
Just as we express ourselves with fashion in the physical world, we will do the same for our avatars in the digital one. For the most part, people deeply embedded in the digital world already do this. In the web3 world of the open* Metaverse, the connection people forge between their physical and digital identities will become more profound and stronger. How we dress our avatars in the digital world will become tied to who we are and what we do in the real world. By creating an entirely new concept of "digiphysical goods" MetaFactory is enabling consumers to shop for swag for both their physical and digital selves at the same time.

Anyone keeping their finger on the pulse of the open* web3 Metaverse would know just how many places there are here. More continue to pop up every single day. Each of them have their own features which make them unique and appealing, but they have different standards for avatar wearables. Something that works as a wearable in Decentraland might not work in Cryptovoxels and vice versa. This makes it difficult for people to seamlessly move between worlds carrying all of their things with them -- essentially, carrying their digital identities with them between worlds. Our new standards will enable greater interoperability and give people the ability to take all of their things with them at all times, no matter where in the metaverse they are going!
MetaFactory is positioning itself to be a leader in pushing interoperability standards forward, with a focus on building with intention vs speed running the gauntlet. We see wearables as an extension of your decentralized identity. They need to communicate and interface with your avatars, personal data, reputations, etc. We’re utilizing ceramic to provide the data layer for Web3 that allows us to link a single ‘master’ NFT, and update the metadata (file types) in real time. In other words, we can future proof the NFT and provide support for increasing platforms and/or ones that don’t exist yet. We can then utilize our standard to offer the same “we handle all logistics/cost” approach to deploying interoperable wearables to communities and collaborating brands for all their favorite worlds and platforms. For legacy brands… gotta be down with the culture and vision, otherwise fucc zucc.
## Legacy Adoption of NFTs
We see a clear trend emerging as NFTs become more mainstream. We anticipate that the average consumer will come to not only want, but to expect their purchases of physical fashion goods or apparel to be accompanied by digital NFT replicas of those items. The concept of “digiphysical goods” will go mainstream. Consumer demand will drive many major fashion and clothing brands into the NFT arena.

The beginning of this can already be seen. Luxury brands like Gucci, Burberry, and Louis Vuitton have already started their initial forays into the NFT space.
MetaFactory is primed to be a primary solution provider to legacy brands who will be seeking to give their customers NFT versions of the physical goods they sell. Our solution will give these companies a low maintenance and minimal overhead option to roll out NFT offerings in such a way that is scaleable to the volume of their sales and easy for them to utilize. Our work to standardize these “digiphysical” NFTs for true metaverse interoperability will allow them to be used as avatar wearables in any web3 world/platform. This represents significant upside potential that will establish MetaFactory as a very appealing option for brands and companies struggling to find an efficient and scaleable solution to providing NFT offerings.
## (Sidenote)
open* --> this is meant to designate and differentiate the open web3 Metaverse vs. the closed web2 Metaverse. The open web3 Metaverse is a place that anyone can access which is governed in a decentralized manner. Examples of the open web3 Metaverse are CryptoVoxels and Decentraland. The blight of corporate greed has no influence in a true web3 Metaverse as all decision making and governance are decentralized to and shared with the community.
The closed web2 Metaverse are places such as VRChat and Facebook's eventual world, where they offer consumers a "Metaverse-like place", but the governance of those places is subject to a centralized power entity, the influence of corporate greed, and in general can remove user content with authoritarian force. The community has no say in decision making or governance of a web2 Metaverse, no matter what they might try to tell you to the contrary. In addition, accessing a web2 Metaverse such as VRChat requires the download of an application that one launches in order to enter -- it's not a place you can just go on to the web and wander into.
