# Welcome and introduce yourself
JDV: Hi, I am Jerry, Research Hardware Engineer, working at the TU Delft to support open hardware projects!
JU: Hi, I am Jose, Research Software Engineer working at TU delft, member of the open science community at Delft and cohost of the open harwdare academy
SI: Hi, I am Santosh, Data Steward with the Electrical Engineering Mathematics and Computere Science at TU Delft. I'm the project lead of the Open Hardware project in the Open Science Programme.
TY: Hi, my name is Tanya and I'm the Community Engagement Manager for the TU Delft Open Science Programme.
SM: Hi I am Sebastiaan Maas, database administrator (DBA) working for TU Delft. I studied Electrical Engineering at bachelor level and like to tinker with electronics.
JO: Hi, my name is José but everyone calls me Pepe. I studied a MSc in Applied Physics at TU Delft and I am currently doing a PhD at Chiapas, Mexico.

1. If someone cannot commit to the time schedule, would lessons also be available online to be viewed at any convenient time (if these include videos as well)?
*A) Yes. The weekly sessions are a combination of elective sessions that would be relevant to different participants and common lessons that everyone would benefit from including lessons developed as needed. As much of the lessons as possible will be recorded and uploaded.*
2. Are we covering Open Source licensing options?

### Why are we launching open hardware academy?
- Project based learning is crucial
- Lessons, mentorship and guidance is crucial
- Communities are inspiring and efficient when it comes to learning
- We are combining different learnings and experiences to have more impact and outreach

**Beyond the 10 weeks programme**
A community where: we co-develop reusable lessons together Enable potential partners to find each other.
A discord server where: We post resources, share progress, find collaborators. We discuss new ideas and lessons to develop. Shape and revisit new editions and lessons
