# Pretendo Support - Frequent Issues and Solutions
PLEASE READ ALL THIS AND LOOK FOR YOUR ISSUE BEFORE ASKING.

The goal of this document is to serve as a quick 'frequent issues' answer forum, to also track which errors people have got and which solutions have seemed to help.

# Communication Errors (read this first):
- Connection issues can be the cause of a lot of different problems, even if it doesn't say so. "I can't connect to Miiverse" or "Friends List" could be the problem of the server, but it could also be your console.
- Remember that Pretendo is a new service, not 100% stable, and that the WiFi cards in your Wii U/3DS family system are almost a decade old, if not already.
- For some people, modifying Connection Settings seem to help. Some examples include:
- Using a cellular hotspot instead of a WiFi router
- Updating the DNS (Setting the Secondary DNS to 8.8.8.8 seems to be helping some people)

- Other than that, make sure your router or whatever way you are connecting online does not have a firewall blocking Pretendo services.

# General

## What games are supported?
- https://pretendo.network/progress
- If not mentioned here and there is not a repository in https://github.com/PretendoNetwork with the game name, it is not supported/development has not started yet.
- If it's a Wii U or 3DS game, it will eventually be supported.

## When will $foo be supported?
- Read above.

## Why is it not supported yet?
Pretendo is a volunteer project. You can help contribute to server funds by donating or by making contributions to GitHub repositories.

## There's a cheater in my game!
Please note down the name and report it to a moderator. If possible, take photos or take a video. Use common sense, do not ping or spam DM them. Look for a moderator that is currently active in the Discord channel and tell them.

# Accounts
## Can I have the same Pretendo Account on a 3DS and Wii U?
Yeah! No reason for this not to happen.

## Can I have the same Pretendo Account on two different 3DS systems?
Yeah, it seems to work for people.

## I can't edit my PNID/Gender/Timezone/Region/Birth Date (Error code 120-9023)
The accounts server does not support these operations yet.

## Error trying to create a PNID account
Currently, making accounts from the console aren't supported. You have to make an account on the website and then link it to your console.

# Badges
**DO NOT OPEN NINTENDO BADGE ARCADE!!!!!!!!!!!**

Yes, for some reason something causes the badges to get **corrupted** when you switch to Pretendo. See the "Badge Issue Help Desk" thread in #support.

# Juxtaposition (Miiverse)
Currently, due to intense load, you may experience connection issues - there appears to be a bit of a 'queue' where older accounts get quicker access than newer ones. So try connecting at a later time. You can still view Juxt on juxt.pretendo.network

## How do I sign up for Juxt?
By making a PNID you automatically are signed up for Juxt.

# Errors and Problems
## 3DS family

### 000-000/012-1511
There's a conflict between Juxt and Rverse's certificates, to fix.
- Remove rev.pem
- Reinstall nimbus

### 002-0102/002-0121 on a new account while trying to switch to Pretendo
If you got this while switching, you're not actually banned. It just happens.

- Update Luma3DS and Nimbus (from GitHub)
- Check your internet connections
- For some people, using a cellular hotspot or changing DNS settings can fix this.
- Your router may be firewalling Pretendo.
- Open Nimbus and even if it says Pretendo is loaded, press it again.

If you did connect to the servers at least once, you may have accidentally left a hack active. Appeals will be processed in the future.

### 022-2402

## Wii U

### 120-9023
See earlier section on not being able to edit PNID settings.

### Wara Wara Plaza characters not loading
Install Nimble - longer explanation: See the solution for Error 104-2210.

### Various Games

#### Error 101-0502/101-0105
This is a known issue relating to Friends List, but there is no known solution. Most likely due to an influx of users, the servers are struggling a little bit. So try again in a few minutes. As usual, try the usual connection settings suggestions at the top of the doc.

### Splatoon
Install Nimble - if not, try the solution for 104-2210 as this fix seems to fix other issues.

#### Cemu: Stuck on the loading screen
This is another symptom of Friends List issues. Devs are investigating, no current fix is out yet.

#### Error 118-05XX
See the troubleshooting part of Error 104-2210 below, it's because of dead hosts/lobbies.

#### Error 104-2210
This is a known issue. As per shutterbug2000's post:

This is caused by Nintendo's shutdown of the Spotpass (BOSS) servers.
When Nintendo closed Spotpass, they simply told your console to no longer retrieve Spotpass data, aside from a few system titles, and Pokemon Bank/Poke Transporter on 3DS. This is accomplished via PolicyList.
Nimble ( https://github.com/PretendoNetwork/Nimble/releases/tag/v3 ) is needed to redirect the PolicyList servers to Pretendo. Placing 30_nimble.rpx in /wiiu/environments/aroma/modules/setup will do so. 
You may additionally need to clear Splatoon's shared save data (NOT the save data for your Wii U user. Shared save data is not used for progression, deleting it will not impact your save file.) and/or unregister BOSS tasks via Inkay (L+Down+Select, Inkay->Boss Settings->Unregister BOSS Tasks).

1) Try and see if inkay is up to date (Inkay: https://github.com/PretendoNetwork/Inkay/releases/tag/v2.4.0 goes in \wiiu\environments\aroma\plugins)
2) DON'T SKIP THIS Check if you have Nimble (30_nimble.rpx) in the right place, if you don't, get it here: https://github.com/PretendoNetwork/Nimble/releases/tag/v3 (goes in \wiiu\environments\aroma\modules\setup)
3) Try deleting shared save data (system settings -> data management -> select your storage device -> splatoon -> Delete shared save data)
4) Try and unregister boss tasks (Open the aroma menu (L + DPAD down + Select), click inkay, then Boss settings, and unregister boss tasks)

If none work try sssl as a last resort
If you get the news, it means it worked

##### TROUBLESHOOTING
- I fixed it but now i'm getting 118 - 05XX while searching for a lobby
- It's because of dead hosts, keep trying and you'll find a match eventually (or play ranked, that works almost 100% of the time)

- Will I lose my progress by deleting shared save data
- No, your user save data is unrelated to that, you won't lose any progress on your game

- I already installed Inkay and Nimbus from Jon's announcement
- Nimbus is for 3ds, make sure to get Nimble (Link above)

- Okay, I installed Inkay and Nimble on plugins
- Inkay and Nimble go in different places, you need to put nimble in \wiiu\environments\aroma\modules\setup

- I fixed the error earlier but now it's happening again
- You can fix it, try using SSSL on top of aroma and it should work fine (Plaza posts most likely stop appearing but the error will be fixed)

- Is there a way to delete shared save data permanently
- No, otherwise rotations wouldn't work
