# Pulpproject.org legacy review

## Overview

Since we're replacing the existing pulpproject.org with our new unified documentation, we'll do a carefull review of the legacy site content.

While its content is gonna be preserved in source control, the chance of someone reviewing that later is low, and we may miss migrating some quality material.

## Methodology

1. Open a split screen w/ pulpproject on one side and this document in the other
2. Review few pages that are not in the main sidebar menu.
3. Review remaining pages one by one:
4. See if we can take some general conclusion on the review

For each page:
- up to 30 seconds for skimming and thinking.
- can speak early if conclusion is fast

- Blog:
- The blog contain about 250 posts that ranges from 2011-today.
- There is a PR to migrate all posts to the new docs: https://github.com/pulp/pulp-docs/pull/48
- Should we keep it all or select only some?
- there was a problem with build times:
- the addition of so many pages slowed down build time from 10s to 20s.
- it can be disabled for faster serving (when we want hot-reload)
- it doesnt matter much for the actual publishing build
- **Conclusion:** even though it may not contain very useful information, its nice to show that the Pulp Project has a long and active history. Lets keep for now.
