# Voidwalker
**Summary**
New simple midround antagonist, essentially a space nightmare. You're near invisible in space, and hunt near windows. At the opportune moment, you phaze through glass, take down your victim and drag them into space, where they undergo what's akin to a heretic sacrifice.
No biddle
## Reasoning
We have a sore lack of space antagonists in space. Space is always a medium to move around in, because space is kinda empty to be honest. The closest we have to a space antagonist is Space Dragon because it's in the name, but otherwise very little of its gameplay has actually anything to do with space (not a critique, it's how the game works). In this case, space is not just a place to move around or to get sniped in by a nukie turret, but the danger itself!
I also like the aspect of a creepier antag, like abductors, revenants and nightmares. The voidwalker is rewarded for picking their targets and environments, and stalking and ambusing the inattentive crewmen. We also have enough death, and I've always liked antags cursing crewmembers in some way.
## Description
Spooky mute spaceman. Space is to the voidwalker what the shadows are to a nightmare. They can move freely and heal while in space. They cannot equip anything except whatever they can hold in their hands. While in space, they're also nearly imperceptible (low alpha and has space camouflage).

They move slower when in gravity though, and will perish quickly when brought to a planetary body.
They can move through unshocked windows/grills freely. They can also click a window (that's not shocked) to temporarily shatter it, after which it reforms after a few seconds.
Their melee deals 20-25 stamina damage, which mutes the target for like 5 seconds or while they're being grabbed.
**Unsettle**
They also have an 'Unsettle' ability, where if they stay still for 8 seconds while targetting someone, that someone is stunned for 1 second where their screen flashes dark, showing only the voidwalker and the person become slowed for another 6 seconds. The vigilant are rewarded.
Maybe also cancel and reveal the Voidwalker if the victim examines them? So people don't use it brazenly and pushes them more towards stealth
**Captured**
When the voidwalker has you stunned, they explode a window and drag you into space. You slowly phades with every step the voidwalker takes (should be around however long a stamina stun lasts so they're not forced to kill everyone in the struggle, but also not a meme where they can just instantly delete anyone in space).
When you're vanished, you're held in space transit and like jostled around a bit before being dropped back onto the station. You get the deep rooted "Voided" trauma!"
Also the voidwalker gets absolutely nothing for doing this. No objectives, no biddle. Just go be a spooky menace
**Voided Trauma**
You get the same space texture layered over your body. I actually got textures to work for bodypart overlays and limbs, it's really cool. I don't have any pictures of a cosmic moth yet but I bet it'd look sick as hell
Also you become mute and pacifist. You can also not enter space, you just get teleported back (the tragedy, become spaceman, can't go to space).
You can cure it by either getting a lobotomy or allowing the damage from being on a planetary body to kill you (you still die though, but no permanent brain-trauma risk from lobotomy).
**Slaying**
The voidwalker is extremely dominant in space and near space, however she's pretty much fucked when going deeper into the station. Hunting is also extremely risky; while they're hard to detect and hold back, they're slow and fragile. Attacking armed crew is incredibly risky, as there's no getaways like shadow-phase or heretic blade snapping, but you get to pick your targets and the environments in which you fight.
To kill them you can just beat them to death. No reviving bullshit or cremation or whatever. On death they shatter into space glass and a "Silent Skull".
*The Silent Skull*: Peer into it to gain an altered version of the voided brain trauma. You get a space texture, become muted and stay allergic to planetary bodies. Otherwise, you can kill and whatever and go into space to regen, enjoy free movement and pass through unelectrified windows (with a small delay).
*Space Shards*: Headcannon is that they're silica/glass-like so it feels topical. Don't really know what this would do though.
## Notes
I'm not really sure how obnoxious they'd be to fight in space. Just making them visible when they attack someone in space should be enough to keep them from not being too annoying.
Also uhhh maybe give them space phase? It's useful for getting to disconnected space sections, but it's also crazy busted and I don't like simple antags being unnecessarily stacked with too wide of a variety of powers.
Also maybe if someone already cursed gets slapped again, they're turned to glass or something?
