# My First Weeks at Web3Bridge
The journey to Web3Bridge began long before I stepped foot in Lagos. It started with a vision that pulled me from the familiar streets of Port Harcourt, through the bustling hub of Jos, and finally to the tech capital of Nigeria. Each city represented a step closer to my goal of mastering blockchain technology—a journey that tested my resolve but ultimately strengthened my determination.

## Making Decision of leaving
Leaving Port Harcourt wasn't easy. The comfort of peers, family, and familiar surroundings gave way to uncertainty and the unknown. Jos served as a brief stopover, a moment to catch my breath before the final leap to Lagos. But with each mile traveled, my conviction grew stronger. I wasn't just moving cities; I was moving toward a future where I could contribute to reshaping how the world interacts with technology.
## Settling into Web3Bridge has been transformative
I've found myself surrounded by like-minded individuals who share more than just technical interests—we share a vision. These aren't just peers; they're fellow dreamers who believe blockchain technology can solve real-world problems and create meaningful change. The energy is infectious, and the collaborative spirit has made the learning curve feel less daunting.
## Our curriculum has been comprehensive & accessible
We've dove deep into Blockchain Basics, covering distributed ledger technology, consensus mechanisms, and peer-to-peer networks. The Cryptography module revealed the elegant mathematics behind hashing algorithms, digital signatures, and merkle trees that secure our digital future. Exploring Ethereum introduced us to the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), gas optimization, and smart contract fundamentals, opening my eyes to the endless possibilities of programmable money and decentralized applications. Each topic builds upon the last, creating a solid foundation for innovation.
## What resonates most with me
Is the democratizing potential of blockchain technology.
The ability to create trustless systems that don't rely on traditional intermediaries speaks to possibilities I'd never imagined. It's not just about code—it's about reimagining how we structure society, governance, and global commerce.
## Web3bridge mentors
They have been invaluable, teaching lessons that extend far beyond technical skills. Ebunayo of Africa, the visionary founder of Web3Bridge, shared insights about building tech solutions for African problems and the importance of persistence in the face of challenges. Mentor Franky emphasized the technical discipline required for blockchain development and the mindset shift needed to think in decentralized terms. Together, they've shown us that resilience is a core requirement for mastering emerging technologies. "You're not just learning to code," they reminded us, "you're preparing to build the infrastructure that will reshape governmental and global structures." This perspective has given deeper meaning to every line of code I write.
## Looking to achieve in the next 16 weeks
Looking ahead, my goals for these 16 weeks are clear: I want to become a skilled developer who doesn't just understand blockchain technology but can build solutions that address real-world problems. More importantly, I want to create pathways for millions of users—including non-tech individuals, youth, and underserved communities—to access and benefit from Web3 technologies.
## Finally
*The journey from Port Harcourt to Lagos was just the beginning. The real journey starts now, and I'm ready to build the future.*
