**Five Ways to Fixed Gmail Account Not Receiving Emails** ![](https://i.imgur.com/Zcu7bmk.png) Gmail is a no-cost emailing service that was released in 2004 by Google on the 4th of April 2004 in a beta release. Following the conclusion of its test period in the year 2009 it has since grown to become the most popular email service. In October of 2019, Gmail boasted over 1.5 billion active users throughout the globe. It is an integral part of Google Workspace, formerly known as G Suite. It includes and is fully integrated to Google Calendar Contacts Meet with Chat that are primarily focused on communications; Drive for storage; Google Docs suite, which assists the creators of content, and Currents to improve employee engagement. From 2020 Google will allow 15GB for storage across all of the Google Workspace services. connected to **Google Workspace.** Google Workspace. Despite its huge scale, user base and support from an industry company, Gmail users have a number of complaints that are frequently raised. Most frequently complained about is that it is unable to receive messages occasionally. Since not storing or showing messages received is not the main goal of using a message service, this issue should be addressed promptly. If you have a reliable and stable internet connection, a variety of causes could be behind this problem. From an insufficient amount of storage on your drive to email being considered spam, to problems with the filtering feature for emails to messages being forwarded accidentally to an address that is not yours. Here are a few options that are quick and easy to solve the issue of **[Gmail Account not receiving emails](https://techhelpnumber.com/gmail-temporary-error/)** **How do I fix "Gmail Account Not Receiving Mails Problem''?** Since there are a variety of reasons for this specific issue There are alternatives to solve the problem. From waiting for the services to be restored in the event of an outage, or tweaking your email settings or deleting certain items from the Google account. First, you should attempt opening your Gmail account in an alternative browser, as this is the most efficient method to solve this problem. The issue could be related to Google Chrome. Google Chrome browser and not Gmail specifically. Try using a different browser such as Opera on your computer to login to Gmail. Gmail account. If switching browsers did not work, one at a time follow the steps that are below until you're capable of resolving Gmail Account not receiving emails problem. We suggest that you keep an extra email account in your wallet to see if you are able to receive emails once more. **Method 1: Go to the Spam or Trash folder.** This is the first priority when you're waiting for an email from a particular source but cannot find that message within your mailbox. The first step is to discover how spam filters function. The spam filters feature in Gmail is a community-driven feature that allows users to mark an email for spam. This information aids the system in identifying additional similar messages for all Gmail users worldwide. Every email that is sent will be blocked, either in the inbox, the category tab, or the spam folder, or be blocked completely. These are the ones which you must be aware of. A message sent by someone you know may end up on your spam list if you have mistakenly reported it as spam before. To verify if the emailer is labeled as Spam: **1. Log into your Gmail account** on any web browser, and then expand on the right sidebar. You'll see an overview of your folders for mail. Continue scrolling down to see the option "More" and click it. **2.** In the menu that follows Find the folder called **'Spam.** It is located in the very middle of the menu. **3.** Search for the message you're trying to find and then **start it.** **4.** After the message has been opened Find the exclamation mark and report the message as spam. Selecting "Not Spam to forward your message into the public Inbox. In doing this, you'll teach Gmail to not mark other messages similar to this one as spam , and you won't be faced with problems with this particular sender. **Method 2. Check to see whether Gmail services are temporarily unavailable** Sometimes, even electronic mail services offered by the biggest tech giants could fail and temporarily stop working. It is possible to narrow the possibility of this happening by scouring the numerous Twitter hashtags or by visiting Google's Workspace Status Dashboard. If you have any issue, you'll be able to see the orange or pink dots. For instance, if there aren't any recent incidents, the website should appear like what is in the image below. If there's an outage, there's no option other than to remain patient until the issue is resolved. This could take up to an hour to repair. Alternately, you can go to Downdetector.com to learn more about the crashes that have occurred before. **Method 3: Check for Sufficient Storage Space** Because Google's emailing feature is completely free, however there will be bound to be some restrictions. One of the most important is the amount of storage space per account of a non-paying user. If you aren't able to use the storage space Gmail along with other Google services could fail to function properly. To determine if you've got enough storage space **1.** Open your Google Drive. **2.** On the left on the left-hand side, you'll find the **"Buy Storage"** option and above that you'll be able to see the total storage space as well as the amount of it is being utilized. In the early 2021s, Google only allows a total of 15GB of storage free to users of Gmail, Google Drive, Google Photos, and all other Google Workspace applications. If you've exceeded the limit of storage, 15GB, it is necessary to clear some space. If you're running low of storage capacity, clearing out the junk mail is a good initial step. Below are the steps to clean out the recycle bin of your Gmail accounts recycling bin **1.** Log into your Gmail Account, and then click the "More" button time. **2.** You'll need to scroll down further to see a section that is labeled as "Trash". Alternately, you can enter 'in:trash' into the search bar at the top. **3.** You can delete some messages or select the "Empty Recycle Bin' option. This will remove all emails that are stored in the trash and substantially increase the amount of space available. Since the storage space accessible within the Google Drive space Google Drive is the same as that of Gmail's and it's a good idea to clear the recycle bin of your Drive too. This can be done on your smartphone or on any other internet-connected device. **The method to follow on your phone**: 1. It's easy to open the Google Drive application. If it's not installed, download it now and connect it to Google Drive. Connect it to Google Account. 1. Click on the Hamburger icon that is located in the upper left corner to start the sidebar. 1. Then, click on the trash option. 1. Click on the three dots menu located on the right of the file you want to delete permanently. Be aware that you won't be able to retrieve the files after they've been deleted. Tap on "Delete Forever". **The method to follow on how to use your Desktop Browser:** 1. Go to **Google Drive.** Open Google Drive and on the left hand side, you will see the option 'Bin. 2. This will take you to the Google Drive Recycle Bin where you can remove manually all documents. If you have enough room for storage you'll be able to resolve the Gmail account that isn't receiving emails. If not, proceed using the next procedure. **Method 4: Delete Email Filters** Filters for email are among the least appreciated features that can help you manage your emails. They are responsible to ensure that you don't fill your inbox with thousands of spam or junk emails every day. They manage and streamline the overall experience of email. Users might not be able to access messages that are in their inbox because of Gmail filters, as the filters take care of redirecting the messages to other folders, such as All Mail and Updates Socials, etc. So, there's an increased chance that you're able to receive email but aren't able to locate the messages as they're labeled incorrectly and being routed to other folders. To get rid of the filtering for emails: **1.** Log into your email account. At the top of your screen, you'll be able to access the Settings menu (gear icon). **2.** Within the menu for quick setting, choose the **"See All Settings.** **3.** Then, go to the **"Filters and Blocked Addresses'** tab. **4.** There is the list of emails that are blocked as well as actions Gmail takes in connection with the blocked email addresses. If you see the email address you're trying to find just click the delete button. This will remove the actions stored in the database and let the message be read just as normal. Simply click on the delete and simply click on the **'Delete'** button. Fix Gmail account that is not receiving emails. **Method 5: Turn Off Email Forwarding** Email forwarding is an excellent feature that allows you to instantly send messages to a different email address. You have the option to forward all messages or just certain messages. If you've chosen this option, check the inbox of the account first. If you've accidentally turned on this feature and you haven't found an email in your primary inbox. **1.** You can open your Gmail account from your computer , as this option isn't available in the Gmail mobile app. If you already have an email address at your work or school then you must make contact with your school or workplace administrator first. **2.** As with the previous fix Click on the 'Settings' icon located on the upper right . Then, follow the steps to click on the 'View All Settings option. **3.** Navigate to the **'Forwarding'** and IMAP' tab, then go to the 'Forwarding' section. **4.** Select the **'Disable Forwarding'** option If it's already disabled. **5.** You can confirm your action by clicking on the **"Save Changes Click to Save Changes.** You should be receiving email notifications within your primary inbox. If none of the above solutions has worked, shutting down your firewall on your system, or re-configuring it could be the last option. Certain antivirus programs offer firewall protections that could affect the smooth operation of Gmail Therefore, you should remove the security program temporarily to see if this solves the problem., You can connect to **[Technical Support](https://techhelpnumber.com/)**
