# Graphical Settings and New Features
To change the graphics configuration, go to the main menu, then to Options, then to Graphics Setup.

**NOTE:** We do not recommend changing any of these settings on any console port (PS Vita, Switch...) as their configuration has been properly set to make sure there are no slowdowns nor other visual issues.
## Available Settings:
**Screen Resolution**: Changes the game's rendering resolution and color bit depth. _*Recommended Setting:* The maximum resolution available for your display unless performance is an issue._
**Wide Screen**: Changes the game's aspect ratio. Required on most modern displays. The options available are Auto, 4:3, 16:9, 5:4 and 21:9. _*Recommended Setting:* *Auto* unless the aspect ratio is incorrect on your display._

**Screen Format**: Changes the way the game is displayed on an OS. The options available are either Fullscreen or Windowed mode. _*Recommended Setting:* Your preference._
**Frame Sync**: Toggles Vertical Sync, or V-Sync, ON/OFF to avoid any sort of image tearing. _*Recommended Setting:* ON unless performance is an issue._

**Frame Limiter**: Limits the framerate to 30 FPS. Disabling this option will allow higher framerates, but at cost of inaccuracy and other glitches. _*Recommended Setting:* ON._
**Anti Aliasing**: Smooths the geometry's hard edges. The options available are OFF, 2X, 4X, 8X, 16X. _*Recommended Setting:* Your preference._
**Map Memory Usage**: Increases the amount of world data that is permanently kept in memory. Enabling this setting might make the initial loading longer, but you will not see any loading screens when going from one area to another. The options available are High, Medium and Low. _*Recommended Setting:* *High* unless performance is an issue._
**PS2 Alpha Test**: Renders all transparent elements with an additional pass to avoid edge bleeding. Increases the image quality, but has a performance cost. _*Recommended Setting:* ON unless performance is an issue._

**Colour Filter**: Applies a post-processing effect that changes the image's coloring. Adds extra visual flair to the image, but has a performance cost. The options available are None (disables the color filter), Simple (uses the original PS2/XBOX filter without trails), Normal (uses the original PS2/XBOX filter with additional trails), Mobile (uses the Android version filter). _*Recommended Setting:* Normal, if performance is an issue, select None._

**Motion Blur**: Adds a simple (for current-day standards) trail-based motion blur effect. _*Recommended Setting:* Your preference._

**Vehicle Pipeline**: Changes the way vehicle bodies are rendered. MatFX is the original PS2 rendering, which doesn't show any reflections. NEO, which is the XBOX rendering, adds reflections to the body. **Requires the `neo` folder to be copied into the game's root folder.** _*Recommended Setting:* NEO unless performance is an issue._

**Ped Rim Light**: Renders all characters with an additional light contour around their bodies. Originally an XBOX-exclusive feature. _*Recommended Setting:* ON._

**World Lightmaps**: **This setting is designed for the XBOX version map assets.** If you are playing with the stock PC assets, with PS2 assets, or with the new renderer enabled (it's disabled by default), this option will cause almost no effect at all. At the moment, it is not possible to read the original XBOX assets as-is. _*Recommended Setting:* OFF unless you are using the XBOX assets._

**Road Gloss**: Renders an additional layer to the game's roads to make them shinier. Taken from XBOX. **Requires the `neo` folder to be copied into the game's root folder.** _*Recommended Setting:* ON unless performance is an issue._
