Ideation

How this idea sprouted

As part of the Meta Guides, we were tasked with guiding grant applicants through the Metal Cartel grant program. We used ticketbot, which did much of the above already. What it didn't do was make people answer any questions. It presented the user with a document in their channel, which they were supposed to read and follow the instructions. Quite often, people did not answer questions and had to try to chase down the person requesting the grant.
Quite often people just clicked the button and ghosted.
This resulted in a lot of time wasted.
If people were lead through answering the questions before submitting the ticket, I think it would save a lot of time, get the required info in a standardized fashion (so it can then easily be added to a spreadsheet or database later). Importantly, it will also eliminate the punch-n-ghost users.

Are there other Bots Doing this

AnubisDAO Quiz bot

Can we compose on top of this?

Not that I've seen exactly. I have found another bot that brought up a form but it took the user to the bots dashboard site to fill out the form and all the data was stored on that dashboard as well, so to manage the tickets, required everybody involved to use an outside website. I don't think that is the ideal solution.

How it could be used to Aid Raid Guild Cohort Onboarding

  • The questions in the form could be aimed at gathering skill information from the cohort.
This data could be fed into the Quartermaster Skills bot (Bot to bot collab).< I like this idea
  • Could also be used as part of a customer support system
  • Team formation (Ie A Cleric could set the parameter for the skills required to perform a raid, potential raiders would fill out the form, Cleric gets info and makes decision based on the results or to be really risky, let the bot decide the team based on best match between required skills and skills presented) < Could also have the bot notify people it thinks would be interested

Can this be completed in the Hackathon timeframe?

I'm asking, I don't know. Comment below if you think it can be done.

  • G: It's possible! But needs to be simple MVP to start with

Will This be useful?

I think so and I welcome any comments.
