# Canon

Canon is a series of NFTs issued by members of the 1Hive community memorializing important events within 1Hive's ongoing and emergent history.

Each NFT will be a unique and original artwork, paired with a fictional narrative inspired by the real events that are relevant to 1Hive, such as the migration to xDai, or the initial launch of the Honey faucet. Overtime the number of significant events will continue to increase, as we hit new milestones. However, they will be both scarce individually and as a collection if they are limited to a single depiction of each significant event in 1Hive's history.

Anyone can create 1Hive themed NFTs, they can even do so in ways that are inspired by 1Hive events, but in order to be considered part of Canon, they will eventually need to be registered on-chain, using a contract mediated by Celeste.

Some NFTs will be more rare than others, and we expect minting of many of the NFTs will be limited in one way or another, so these NFTs will become provably rare artificacts which can become both meaningful and valuable collectors items.

# Possible Past Events

## First Honey Minted by Seeds
In the beginning there was nothing. A vast but empty world.

Time passing as if a series of blocks were being stacked one on top of the other. Until one block something changed.

Honey appeared, filling the void with a strange life-force. Bees began to swarm consuming the Honey to give them energy and using that energy to produce more Honey.

/represents the initial experimentation and establishment of honey as 1Hive’s community currency on the rinkeby testnet/

## First great migration
A swarm of bees carry honey from the desolate void towards a vibrant oasis full of lush greenery, wild flowers, and streams, a place of abundance, activity and life.

/represents the first migration from rinkeby where there was not really anything significant to honey being on Ethereum for the first time/

## Discovery of Conviction
A mystical flame in the shape of a seed is discovered by a bee, it radiates energy with variable intensity almost as if it were breathing.

/represents the relationship between 1hive and the common stack (logo is the seed flame) and the collaboration to develop conviction voting as a mechanism to continuous express the intensity of perfectness within a decentralized organization/

## Discovery of Dandelion
a demon (moloch) sitting in a field of dandelions observes as bees fly from flower to flower.

/represents the inspiration of moloch on 1Hive’s governance processes, and the creation of dandelion voting as a way to ensure participants in 1hive could exit by selling tokens if a decision was made that they disagreed with/

## Second great migration
Industrial machines are at work, destroying the lush landscape, there is smoke billowing and sparks flying, fires are scattered among the previously lush landscape

The bees flee, carrying honey with them as they search for a new more hospitable home.

/represents the migration from Ethereum to xDai in response to network congestion and rising gas fees/

## Creation of the Honey Faucet
A magical fountain made of the shiniest metal reflects the brightness of the sun and overflows with liquid honey is discovered, attracting bees from far and wide to come harvest and store the honey.

/The faucet introduced a new wave of people to 1hive, early on the faucet was giving out over 1 honey per distribution to anyone who was interested, and helped battle test the brightid social sybil-resistance mechanism/

## Creation of Honeyswap
bees carrying different colored orbs converge at a nexus where pairs of different colored orbs are arranged in pools.

## First cross-pollination bridge
Bees fly into space where they swarm around a giant space octopus 🐙

## Launch of Pollen
