## 歌曲簡介
據 McCartney 所說，這首歌是他在某一次表演結束的途中開車時所構思出來的，靈感是來自一首英國民謠 Seventeen Come Sunday。

這首歌最初的命名為 "Seventeen"，而會如此命名正是因為 McCartney 當時才17歲，可以說是最適合這首歌的年齡。

儘管這首歌的作詞為 Lennon-McCartney ，不過大部分的歌詞都是 McCartney 所作。
這首歌的歌詞講述了一位男孩在舞廳中遇見了一位容貌無與倫比的女孩，他一見鍾情並與她一同共舞的故事。
其中第一句歌詞 "Well, she was just seventeen, you know what I mean" 原本為 "She was just seventeen,' and then 'never been a beauty queen"，不過當 McCartney 將歌詞給 Lennon 看後，Lennon 便將歌詞修改成現在看到的樣子。

這首歌的貝斯參考自 Chuck Berry 在1961年的作品 I'm Talking About You。

這首歌在英國收錄在 Please Please Me 之中，不過在美國是以單曲雙面發行，而正是這首歌使 Beatles 在美國一炮而紅，某種程度上算是開啟了英倫入侵時代的一扇大門。

## 個人評價
這首歌算是很早期也很代表 Beatles 的一個作品，作為專輯中收錄的第一首歌，開頭的 one, two, three, four 更給人一種臨場感與音樂即將開始的感受。

作為 Beatles 的早期作品，同時也相當具有 rock and roll 的特色，這首歌對我來說相當印象深刻，我最早接觸搖滾樂和 Beatles 時還並不知道這首歌，是到我開始將 Beatles 的專輯一張一張開始聽時才初次接觸這個作品。
直到現在，我都認為這首歌是 Please Please Me 這張專輯相當具代表性的歌之一。
