Data First-2: Specimen Image Identification


Search specimen images by a catalog number, common name or annotation.
Click button to start searching.
Click one of the records from the list to view the detail information.

The catalog number is fixed. (Data-first flow)
Click to find a different catalog number record.
Approve/Decline/Delete buttons

  • Click : Approve this specimen record.
  • Click : Decline this specimen record with remark, it not allow to publish to the front site.
  • Click : Delete this specimen record.

Situation:

If catalog number cannot be matched in the database, please click button to modify.


Click the button after modifing the matching catalog number.

Image Viewing Block

1. Specimen Images

Multiple specimen images can be switching from the tools below or clicks the thumbnails.
Viewing tools:

  • : zoom in/out
  • : fit to the viewing block
  • : rotate
  • : back/forward to view the images
  • : play as slideshow

2. Label Data

The plain text which is recognized from the specimen label.

Information Section

1. Specimen Data

Taxon name

Click button, type in plain text.

  • Click button to confirm the submission.
  • Or to leave without changing.

Catalog number

The catalog number is REQUIRED. (Image-first flow)
Catalog number the prefix & suffix is definited, those settings could be changed on Configuration page.

Determined date

The date has three format options

2. Occurrence

All the required fields must fulfill to complete the submission.

If the field is not fixed or preset, type in the box and press enter key. The new input data will be created on the list automatically.

3. Taxonomy

Click to change species information.
(Click :point_up: this button to view the detail information)

4. Location

local lang. (local language) : Use local terms to conform the record.
Verbatim Coordinate : it can be switched as different format.

Search Location:
Enter a keyword in the edit box to search the pre-saved location from the database.

Save Location button:
If the location is not pre-saved from the database, the contents of the edit box on the left will be saved as click on the save location button.

Interactive map:

The map pin will be located at the corresponding longitude and latitude automatically.

Click button to maximize the map as full screen.
Click to zoom in/out the map view.
Click and hold the mouse on the tool to move the point on the map; or input the longitude & latitude coordinate, and the pin will be moved to the corresponding location.

All the required fields must fulfill and click to complete the submission.
