* Started with the map and photos and brief on field visit
* Mirzapur - south of ganges, visited villages atleast a few villagers a day.
* Most people depend on MNREGA for the labour, huge number of people travel from villages to Varanasi in their bicycles
* Apart from that other aspirations of local people are to become tailor / beautician and if educated then teacher
* Drop out rates are high due to stigma / other safety related issues for young women
* Most local economy for tailors and beauticians is around the weddings.
* Apart from that other section of work is in masonry
* Most women after cooking, washing and running other errands will be busy making cow dung cakes
* Cow dung cakes beautifully stacked one over other like walls, also on walls.
* First husk is processed
* Dung is collected
* both mixed and slapped on walls to let dry
* {Q} - Despite ujjwala yojana, the cow dung cakes still in vogue.
* {A} - They might have gas but their savings matter a lot for them due to the low wages and other socio - economic reasons. so apart from making team or small time stuff, most meals and other long cocking done on the traditional chula.
* We got a enthusiastic on-field team,
* Suresh and his team, work with kishori girls? and shg?
* Garima Giirls - working on SDG's sanitary hygiene
* (name?) - guy with GF photo on mobile wall paper - tech savy
* Shayiri Girl
* Radio / pi devices drives lot of enthusiasm and motivation,
* people initially shy, but once confident that the recording in their own privacy
* once people started others around were motivated
* people hesitate to write or fill forms / but are willing to record their voice
* Plan B during Lock down, Shalini spoke with Suresh
* Time to explore remote options for his regular work, that includes going through villages to deliver content(?) related to training, awareness and so on..
* He would like to record audio programs and share it to groups
* Receive audio comments / requests / issues that needs be address, since women hesitate to speak with men
* Dinesh, suggest using the "Black Sheep Box"
## Questions
* What's the plan with the recorded audios? probably good idea to work out our curatorial workflow and publishing cycle with mani and all.
* How to if we need to use Black sheep box?
* If setting that up for some reason gets complicated, what are available alternatives
*
