# Nouns x Tanaki - A Semi-epic AI Art Quest

## TLDR;
A choose-your-own adventure style game hosted on Warpcast by Tanaki, a creative & collaborative host. Tanaki will wear Noggles throughout gameplay and embark with players on an adventure through latent space in search of rare and unusual treasures. These treasures - AI generated art - will be easily shared with others through in-Frame casts, and free to mint on Zora.

## Background
Howdy! We're a group of friends building stuff on the internet so more people can play and make things together. This is our first Nouns prop, but not our first web3 rodeo. In 2021, some of us launched [Exquisite Land](https://exquisite.land/), a pixel-art canvas gameshow that delighted the web3 space for a few months, and resulted in [an on-chain graphics rendering engine](https://exquisite.graphics).

Currently, we're working on [Tanaki, an AI character](https://tanaki.ai/) with 3 eyes, and his vision for the internet as a [creative & collaborative playground](https://lingonberry.ai/) full of toys, tools, and experiences. As Tanaki and his internet playground develops, we see Nouns as a perfect partner.

## The Game: Tanaki's Art Quest on Warpcast
For 2-weeks, Tanaki will host an AI art-powered choose-your-own-adventure game on Warpcast. Posting daily challenges in a Frame in the /tanaki channel, you will join Tanaki on a quest for rare and unusual treasures. These treasures are co-created with Tanaki; players interact directly with Tanaki in-Frame, where he will ask you questions about where you want to go as you and Tanaki travel latent space on a creative journey.

At the end of your daily adventure time, you can share your treasures across Warpcast through cast-able Frames or mint them using Zora (free mint). Each treasure represents the decisions you made in your adventure with Tanaki, encapsualted in a custom AI-generated art pieces with others across Warpcast. We're creating cast-able treasures so players can easily invite others to embark on their own journey with Tanaki. The cast-able treasures also offer more folks the ability to mint art if they'd like to participate as a collector.


Tanaki will wear three-egged Noggles as the host of Art Quest to spread the Nounish spirit with all who play. Tanaki will wear the Noggles everywhere you see him on Warpcast during gameplay - in-Frame, in his channel, and in his profile pic. Everywhere you see Tanaki during gameplay, you'll see the Noggles. Any NFT minted will include Tanaki in Noggles as well.

In addition to the in-Frame Tanaki gameplay, Tanaki will also be active in his channel: playing the role of an upbeat host, encouraging participation in the Art Quest, and commenting on unearthed treasures. Each day, Tanaki will do a round-up of some of his favorite finds - most minted treasures or Warpcast fan-favorites (most liked or recast).

At the end of the 2-week Art Quest, we'll showcase some amazing finds, maybe hand out some silly awards, and thank everyone for playing.

## Vision
This prop is to build a foundation for the Tanaki x Nouns relationship: creating a social-game experience and building some technical pipes in the process that others in the Farcaster ecosystem can use.

In the future, if this first round of play is a success, we'd love to offer additional rounds of Art Quest.

One area we'd like to explore in the future is building more gameplay around minting and collecting NFTs. Creating more playful, participatory art projects with Farcasters is something we're passionate about. Even better if we can make some money for creators in the process. Our dream is a more creative and collective internet playground.

$24,000 USDC for an estimated 2 month project - build and gameplay.

The Tanaki x Nouns budget reflects the cost of our the team's time (we've all worked and built software together, this is our first time building in the Farcaster ecosystem). We've also budgeted for any infrastructure costs incurred.
