# Wireless Printer Setup | Connect Canon Printer to WIFI

Although there are several printer brands on the market, Canon is the first choice of users when it comes to perfect printing.

Canon is known for its high-quality printing. To use the printer, the first step is to configure it. Configuring the Canon Wireless Printer If a user wants to know how to configure the Canon wireless printer, then it can be easily done by following a set of instructions. Canon Wireless Printer Setup The wireless configuration of the Canon printer is used to connect the user’s computer and the Canon printer through the wireless network. If a wireless connection is established, there will be an advantage of printing anywhere using the device. If a file is saved to the device and it needs to be printed, just select the file and print it.

## Wireless Printer Setup
Before you start installing the wireless connection
**1- Make sure the printer is turned on.**
If the power is on, the POWER lamp (A) will light up.

**2- Press the Setup button (B) on the printer.**
**3-** Use the left or right button © to select the wireless LAN configuration.
**4-** Press the OK button.
**5-** The printer will automatically search for compatible wireless routers. Select the method that matches the screen displayed on your printer.

**The push-button method**
Push-button method screen: Connect to the wireless router that supports WPS

### Connection using WPS
* Press and hold the WPS button on the wireless router.
* For details on pressing the WPS button, see the wireless router manual.
* Press the OK button on the printer in 2 minutes.

### Connect to the wireless router that supports WPS Troubleshooting
* Troubleshooting -WPS- Select an applicable item
* “Multiple detected wireless routers <View manually>” is displayed
* “Connection error <View manual>” is displayed
* “Time error <See manual>” is displayed
* “Multiple detected wireless routers <View manually>” is displayed
* Error screen: Multiple wireless routers were detected
* Wait a while, then configure your WPS settings again. Press the WPS button on a single wireless router.
* To reconfigure your WPS settings
* “Connection error <View manual>” is displayed
* The screen appears when an error occurs.
Error screen: Error connecting.
Check your wireless router settings, and then configure your WPS settings again.

“Time error <See manual>” is displayed
The screen appears when the WPS configuration has not been completed within a specified time frame.
Error screen: Expiration error.
Is the network device (router etc.) turned on? If the network device is already on, turn it off, and then restart it.
Do not use the screen of this guide until the power is turned on. The connection to the network device will be temporarily disabled.
Connection using WPS
Select Yes.
WPS screen: Select No arrow WPS screen: Select Yes
Press the OK button.
When changing the printer screen,
Go to step 5 and continue with the setup.
If the wireless router is not detected after another search or when the configuration method is changed
Select No and press the OK button.
Start again
When the screen below appears, press the OK button.

* Press the COPY button (A).
* Troubleshooting -WPS-Select an applicable item.

* Error screen: Multiple wireless routers were detected.
* Wait a while, then configure your WPS settings again. Press the WPS button on a single wireless router.
* To reconfigure your WPS settings, press the OK button
* “Connection error <View manual>” is displayed
* The screen appears when an error occurs.

* Check your wireless router settings, and then configure your WPS settings again.
* To reconfigure your WPS settings, press the OK button.

### “Time error <See manual>” is displayed
* The screen appears when the WPS configuration has not been completed within a specified time frame.
* Error screen: Expiration error.

### To reconfigure your WPS settings, press the OK button.

**Other configuration**
* Press the COPY button (A).
* Wireless LAN configuration screen
* WPS, WPS PIN Code Method or Cableless setup can be selected in the next step.
* If your wireless router supports WPS, you can perform WPS configuration, even if the wireless LAN configuration screen is displayed.

If the Push Button Method screen is displayed on the printer, but you are not sure if your wireless router supports this technology, press the Stop button.
