We are creating a discord personality that give new members onboarding quests, allows users to choose roles & mint custom NFTs based on their choices and progress along the journey.

To newcomers, Raid Guild is a mysterious unknown land

During Raid Guild's adventures in onboarding we've noticed that it can be difficult for new members for a number of reasons. The feedback form the last cohort was mixed and the RG journey is complicated.

There aren’t many clear pathways and the ones a new users does go down can be filled with difficulty, loneliness and uncertainty.

Also there is a lot of onboarding content documented during season 3 that needs to be built into a user journey.

Tavern Keeper is here to show them the way.

Tavern Keeper immerses new Discord users in a fantasy role playing adventure, leading them through onboarding quests, tracking their onboarding progress, and giving them a sense of identity based on their skills.

He does this by:

• Allowing new members to progress through a conversation flow using emoji reactions, select quests personal to their needs

• Enabling users to choose roles in Discord, which mints custom NFT DAO user profiles unique with stats and attributes and allows them to build an onchain reputation

• Minting POAPs as new users progress along the conversation.

• Helping users connect to the right person in the right place

When someone arrives on a server, Tavern Keeper greets them with beer tankard in hand and gives them a piece of parchment - it's a map!

During his personal frustration on the journey in season 3 Govinda designed a concept of what an async onboarding bot could look like, inspired by the bankless DAO's first quests. Several Season 4 contributors have rallied around the project and team Tavern Keeper was born.

We love RG, but when you're new it's hard. Our dream is to make Raid Guild the most fun place to onboard in web3.

And Tavern Keeper isn't alone

RaidGuild will have a cast of NPCs, who will work together to steer the new member around this new world.

For instance, the Tavern Keeper might advise our new member who wants to form a party: "Ah, you'll want to go talk to the Quartermaster about that there, then!"
