## Q1: What is IOTA Identity?
IOTA Identity is an implementation of decentralized digital identity also known as Self Sovereign Identity (SSI).

## Q2: Wich programming languages are supported?
The core library is written in Rust. From this core library, we derived a WASM library, which can be used in your Javascript Application like Node.js or in the Browser.

Note: Key Storage/Management is very insecure - browser storage is not a secure environment!

Since 0.5, nodejs supports Stronghold (Secure Software for Key Storage) -> https://github.com/iotaledger/identity.rs/tree/dev/bindings/stronghold-nodejs

More languages could be implemented, but the identity team focses first on core functionality.

## Q3: Is it possible to publish a DID from a Smart Contract?
Smart Contract Team:
> You have to look at this from the viewpoint of what functionality the sandbox provides. Because that is the only functionality that is accessible to a SC. And that is because the SC needs to be able to run deterministically so that each node that runs it is guaranteed to get exactly the same results. So if there is functionality in the iota core lib that can run entirely by itself and is deterministic it can be linked into the Wasm executable and run just fine. But if it tries to access something external, through ports, files, or what not, then it won't be able to run because that functionality is nit provided by the sandbox because the results cannot be guaranteed. The same thing goes for time-based functionality, randomizing, multi-threading, etc.

## Q4: Can i use IOTA DID for the iDAO treasury voting system ?

- Creadentials as "votes" is not a right use case.

## Q5: How far is the research for ZKP-CL signatures?

- Prototype by Links Foundation (not yet open source, written in python)

## Q6: Is JSON-LD ZKP with BBS+ signatures under research? This would allow selective disclosure with semantic disambigution.

## Q7: ZKP CL signatures would allow to verify credentials without looking up DID documents for holders. That is why in a world with only ZKP only issuers would need to have DID documents stored on the Tangle. DIDs for holders do not necessarely need their DID documents on the tangle. Do you agree?
