# Experience Reflection on My BMW Lab TEEP Internship (remote)

## Background

Hello here's William! I'm a final year student from Indonesia, studying at Institut Teknologi Bandung, majoring in Electrical Engineering. University life has nurtured my curiosity to explore different kind of experiences. I had encoutered with technical stuff such as microprocessor system, data science, deep-learning, computer system architecture, and managerial stuff such as management consulting and leadership experiences at student-led organization. One time when I was in my intern period, my senior contacted me and recommended me to join the TEEP program, specifically in the BMW Lab @NTUST.

## Reflection

The internship experiences in BMW Lab has honed both my hardskill and softskill. It exposed me to a growing field of study which very beneficial to study because it will add a uniqueness to my personal experience. When it comes to softskill, the internship experience has taught me to orchestrate a project with my colleague in the team.

The learning was very holistic, I started as a pre-intern student studying the background of 5th generation network(5G). I explored the fundamental needs of 5G and the basic architecture of it. As an intern student, I explored the about E2 Agent in the FlexRIC's implementation of RAN controller. These topic is very critical in the development of 5G network, but they are rarely discussed during my university study. I feel so lucky to be able to explore these topic during the internship period.

The team is very supportive as well. I would like to highlight my mentor, Yueh-Huan, and my colleague, Anna, for their relentless support in my intern journey. They helped me a lot to digest the novelty of the project through several meetings and discussions. Beside that they improved my adminstrative skills such as notes creation and works prioritization.

## Summary
I would really recommend the students who are about to explore their interest in pursuing their master degree in NTUST or already fixed their personal decision to do it as this program will work as a holistic introduction to their master study.

My final words would be thanking Professor Ray as the organizer of the program, Yueh-Huan as my mentor, and my colleague as my learning buddies.
