    # 2022 12 12 Meeting OSM BE & Service public de Wallonie 'mobilité infrastructures' ###### tags: `meetings with externals` In 2014-2015 there were gatherings with Gracq and Rando Vélo to settle recreative long distance cycle routes. The last years Rando Vélo was not very active nor responsive. One thing is sure, they haven't updated their cycle routes. -> meeting in response to the mail below 11/12/2022: Thierry called to a presentative of Rando Vélo. That persons confirms that Rando Vélo still exists and that they still maintain their cycle routes. The website will go back online soon. They do have a [facebook page](https://www.facebook.com/RandoVelo). I asked for a written confirmation of this information. At OpenStreetMap Belgium, we do not delete routes just because someone asks us to. We map according to the "[ground truth principle](https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Ground_truth)", which means that all physical features that can be observed on the ground are actually mapped. The same applies to the Rando Vélo routes, of which we know that at least some are still marked in the field (for ex. [here](https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=519380099859998) small yellow-blue sticker on blue traffic sign of EV5-route) Additional questions & info: 1) The Flemish provinces have developped since some years a [network of cycle highways](https://fietssnelwegen.be/fr/). In the meantime some of them are also signposted. And there's at least one that is also signposted on Wallonian territory -> the [F421 between Geraardsbergen/Grammont and Flobecq](https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=606385781226856) Who manages/owns the signs of this cycle highway on the Wallonian section? 2) On a regular basis, we receive information from all kinds of authorities (mostly municipalities and provinces) about long-term works (that last for more than 3 months). Do you have an overview on these works related to the routes you are responsible for? E.g. the info on the [long-term works at the Neuville lock](https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/148132541#map=12/50.5395/5.3122) (between Liège and Huy) we received from the tourist office of the province of Liège (asbl Liège Europe Métropole) 3) Related to point 2 we also receive on a regular basis information about the update of the network. Bien cordialement,
