Greetings!
My name is Bryan Oliver and I'm an undergraduate Computer Engineering student from the University of Indonesia (Universitas Indonesia). I'm joining this program from NTUST BMW (Broadband Multimedia Wireless) Lab, called the [TEEP @AsiaPlus 2021](https://hackmd.io/AQym4FBjRvyRA8sk1d8KQw?view) program on the 1st of July 2021. Honestly, in this two months program, I have had so much fun and I have learned so much from everyone here, because of their support and guidance for me, especially Prof Ray-Guang Cheng, my mentor Jonathan, other mentors from NTUST, and my intern colleagues here. I am really glad to be given this awesome opportunity to be part of the TEEP @AsiaPlus 2021 program.
This program took two months from July-August 2021, where we as an intern learn so much about OpenRAN and the components. Before the intern has begun, from January-June 2021, I have studied all around the OpenRAN architecture. Subsequently, I have developed this interest in 5G technology and I learn deeper about the OpenRAN technology. Hence, I have chosen the topic of the O-RAN Distributed Unit (O-DU) and take the O-DU as my research on this 2 month of the internship program.
Focusing on O-DU as my internship topic, I have learned all about O-DU message passing, protocols, interactions, and logic based on the source code and relations with the other components. As an intern, I also summarize my [report](https://hackmd.io/FBjcI2V0SGC7njvsykSjIg?view) daily and weekly to record my works and tasks that I have already done. Also, I have to create a time management schedyle and plans on the HackMd page on what things or aspects that I want to observe or learn in the next day or next week. Not only that this program has given me a lot of knowledge on OpenRAN and technical knowledge, but also unique and outstanding experience in managing my time, project, teamwork, and presenting my work to others at our weekly meeting.
Although unfortunately due to the pandemics that have been going on, I and the other intern on [TEEP 2021](https://hackmd.io/AQym4FBjRvyRA8sk1d8KQw?view) can not come to NTUST, it has been an interesting and wonderful experience for me, because I was allowed to explore the OpenRAN and learn something new under excellent guidance. I am truly grateful for this opportunity and experience. Lastly, I would like to give a lot of appreciation and thanks to Prof. Ray-Guang Cheng from NTUST as someone who supervises and guide me throughout the pre-internship and the internship, my mentor Jonathan for giving me tasks and providing me with support and guidance, all the mentors from NTUST, and also my intern colleagues here.
Best Regards,
Bryan Oliver.
