# After Dark feedback
- `404.html` should be in `layots` folder, not `contents`. Present in theme's `layots` folder too
- Probably add some info about how to configure the server for redirect?
from = "/*"
to = "/404.html"
status = 404
## Broken syntax highlighting when used with skin style
How to reproduce:
palette = "solarized-dark"
Comment / uncomment the section above to see it in action. All the code becomes blue with skin styles.
## Custom css for syntax highlighting
Add info on how to generate is:
mkdir -p static/css
hugo gen chromastyles --style=monokai > static/css/syntax.css
Why? Even hugo reference doesn't say where to place it. It's definitely not obvious for noobs where custom css should be put.
## Hall of Mirrors (Photoswipe)
Well, I've seen there is an issue about adding a gallery shortcut.
Still, so far if a web noob like me just follows instructions via `https://after-dark.habd.as/module/hall-of-mirrors/` + `https://git.habd.as/comfusion/hall-of-mirrors/src/branch/master/README.md` he ends up with some settings done but having no clue what should be added to a markdown file to say "I want gallery of images in my leaf bundle to be here"
I'll still be figuring out how I can make my first gallery.
## Final Words
My general remark for would be the following.
It'd be good to provide some straigthforward, "dumb" examples (20% of instructions) that would cover 80% of practical use cases. I'm sure you know this 80/20 Pareto thingy. And then referencing important stuff for the sake of completeness and so that powerusers and people know where to read the official documentation, are guided where to proceed etc.
After all, the buty of the static web sites built with Hugo, Zola etc (for me, and I'm sure for many other people) is their simplicity. To get started you just need to configure a bit, then write the content in markdown. Then if you use git a commit is all you need to update your site hosted on GitHub/GitLab pages, Netlify or elsewhere. It's very nice!
