# Usability testing
Thank you for your time today and for agreeing to take part in our app usability testing
Trip Planner is a travel app.
There is no right or wrong answer, the aim of this session is to observe how you interact with the app, it would be very helpful if you could think out loud and share your screen; we also ask you permission to record this session.
We will not prompt you or interact too much with you as we are looking to see your spontaneous interaction.
Please provide honest feedback, especially if negative, as it is very valuable information for us to improve our app.

Do you feel anything was missing?
**Notes**
User1 - Matan @ 10:00
- Didn't notice the intro message at all
- Not sure what the application purpose is just from the beginning, no explanation of what I should do at the start right after I sign in
- Explanation on first page of what to do with the app
- Tells me information about Paris, the trip I ordered
- There's a to do list that I made for myself, what I want to do on my trip - icons are too close together. Would be better to mark tasks completed with a checkmark
- Would like to have a `go back` button as well as my trip
- Trying to click the pencil in order to edit
- The UI is cute, I like it
- Would like to be able to scroll the news page
- Documents that I need for any trip, I have documents ready for the trip - it's convenient
- I can upload and it tells me whether or not I have them
- Tells me what I should have brought with me
- I would probably click on each name to open the doc. A bit misleading - not sure if I can click on it or if it's just text
- The my trips look more like buttons
- There's no user personalization at the moment to show my Google or FB user name or to share with other users
- Would be great to have a lot of options to upload files (from whatsapp, drive, email etc)
- for someone who wants to plan the trip from their phone
- Not sure that restaurants and news are the most useful thing for me, it's too specific
- every app should only be in charge of one thing
- maybe links to open google maps, a link to a restaurant app that is in this country?
- The weather is necessary - but it should be more concise and more eye grabbing - sun more real - I would notice it
User2 - Michelle @ 10am
- Do you need Facebook or Google to sign in?
- Engaging time and weather on the Paris page
- I'm finding it hard to navigate through the app
- The "Search local restaurants" section is not clear
- How do I go back? (Back button not that clear)
- Great travel docs page! I wasn't sure what the tick meant though, maybe there could be a seperate list for already uploaded items. I would love the list to be as long as possible, I'm always searching my emails for the right booking confirmation, it's great to have it all in once place!
- Great interface for trips page, smooth and clear.
- Extra feature, things to do would be great like in London if people travelling here knew the Notting Hill Carnival was on or The Queen's Jubilee! This could be added to the news page
- I love the notifcation of how many days away my trip is, that's great
- Are trip docs for one trip? Or for every trip?
- Maybe you could add a separate page for past travel docs
- Reviews of restaurants are very important, I'm very picky, that would be great to see high rated restaurants nearby.
- I love the colours you've used, the green and yellow is very bright and eyecatching
- A checkbox would be better instead of radio button in the list, more visual feedback when task is checked would be useful.
-
User 3 - Danilo @ 10.30am
- Very good design, interface, simple but detailed.
- Likes the color pallette and contrast, it's readable.
- Expecting suggestions when searching for city.
- Goes back to list when clicking on expanded news?
- Expecting to scroll in the news.
- Some fonts could be bigger.
- What if I don't have Google or Facebook? How can I log in?
- Is the list inside the single trip a preset or is it an open list we can add to?
- It would be better to be able to modify / add a task on the same page instead of being taken to a specific task.
- Be able to add details to a list item, not just the title.
- It would be useful to have a "back to previous page" button (for example using React back).
- "Add new document icon" at the top mistaken for button to click to upload document.
- My documents page is confusing, checkboxes are reduntant if I already uploaded a document, unless it is a preset list.
- It would be useful to be able to reupload the document instead of a delete button.
- Not clear if the local news bring to an external link.
- Possibly add extra features and not just restaurants and news.
- The explanation box is not really visible and clear, it was not noticed in the beginning, it would be better to pisition it at the top.
User 4 - Peter @ 11am
- Sign in with Google or Facebook, you can click either
- Very responsive, I like the green colour very vibrant
- Great two tone of green
- I like the feature of how long it takes to walk
- Maybe add a click feature that enables Google Maps
- I'm guessing you can click onto either button to upload documents
- Not very clear whether or not you can download you documents
- On the current trip page you can add things to your list
- Local news writing is too small, I didn't see it!
- Maybe the colour is too bright to see the writing, overpowering for my eyes
- Could I see it for the laptop version? I would love this so it would be fully responsive on all screens, ipads and people travel with their laptops too
- Maybe have the logos just black and white
- Maybe some colours for the edit section and delete on the current trip page
- Maybe add a countdown of how many minutes it takes to get to a restaurant
- Maybe an eggshell grey background for the evening when the light goes, or a light or dark button
- Main logo is for downloading documents and then you can click the pencil logo to edit the document if you need to
- Maybe a fun emoji
- Alert/Alarm Notifaction for when your flight time is near!
- I like the tick logo, so you can see what documents you have already uploaded
- I'm not sure where you can upload your document or click to see your documents pop up
- It's not clear whether on the My Documents page if the logos are for uploading or downloading, and there's a main logo the same so it's confusing
- Add Travel insurance documents
- I would sign in with Facebook, it already has my info stored, saves time and it's easier
- Would I be searching a country or a city in the country?
- Cool feature of the calender, like lastminute.com
- Maybe a list of varied prices so you can get a bargain
- I like the My Trips and My Docs button on every page once logged in
- Would the travel documents conflict with other documents you've uploaded before?
- Would you need internet to store the documents?
- Would you be able to delete a item on the docs page?
- Maybe add a feature where you could store your images of restaurants or place that you've been?
- Paris page, good logo features of edit for pencil logo and delete item with trash can
- A click appear with a different colour
User 5 - Imogen @ 11:30
- I noticed the disclaimer
- I didn't ask for Paris I asked for Italy!
- My list isn't that clear, I thought it would recommend places to go and get croissant
- Typo on license
- My documents page is great, would be very useful especially nowadays! Everything is on the mobile now
- Can you download or forward documents? it's not so clear
- You could add emergency numbers or local hospital informations
- Car Hire, Bus Ticket, Train Ticket, Tube, local travel information would be helpful
- Toilet information, comfort stops and also information whether you could use the toilets in the local restaurants
- Downloading documents is very useful
- Local news is good, but toilets features would be great too!
- Log out button should be on every page
- Obvious and simple user interface
- Colours are great, my colours!
- Search local restaurants isn't that clear, they could be categories like vegetarian or fast food
- It's very clear and easy to use, better than downloading strange QR codes everywhere
User 6 - Obadiah @ 11:30
- Would sign in with fb but seems like there should be an option to log in with email and password
- He read the disclaimer
- Looking for a back arrow on the trip page
- accidentally deleted the list item when tried to click on the pencil
- There should be a back arrow anytime you're away from your My Trips screen
- Didn't notice documents for a while...
- Expect that when I click on name of doc it will come up and when I click on the pencil I could edit it and when clicking on the upload I could update the doc
- I guess the tick means I have the doc there
- If there were more docs I guess it would scroll
- icon is confusing on 'create my new trip' because it looks like it's prompting you to add a photo
- in the food, it would be nice to see a map with your location
- the news is good if you just have the latest articles like on apple news
- I like the little personal info about the weather and time
- The 'plus' adds another item to the list
- The pencil edits
- I assume this circle is 'checkable'
- I imagine typing the destination would auto-complete with suggestions
- Calendar has no month indication, maybe better to start with months overview
- I assume you can click and drag from start day to end day to highlight and select dates
- I assume the My List would be empty to begin with
- Click on the text of the doc to edit it's title
- Should completed list items be removed?
- Simple layout and genrally easy to use
- Right now the docs are seperate from the trip and not every doc applies to every trip. You could have overall docs and then specific docs within each trip
- Would be easier to scroll through the trip docs to find what you want
- Not clear if docs are related to trip or overall
- It's not clear the info I'm gonna get when I click on a specific trip
- Instructions on features of app at the start should be more specific
- Don't love the color personally
