# Earth MC Guide: 1.The Very Basics

## First, Let's travel with TP!
Welcome to Earth MC!
There are many nations and towns on this server.

At first, It is recommend traveling to various nations with TP to find out what this world has to offer.

After you join a town (that belongs nation),
do `/n spawn [nation name] ` to TP to the nation's capital.

> Examples:
> /n spawn japan
> /n spawn france
> /n spawn new_york
> /n spawn mali

A list of TP enabled nations can be found by the [Dynmap](https://earthmc.net/map/aurora/)
On the map, there are stars at the location of the nation's capital.

## About Gold
Gold ingots are used as currency on this server.
It is used to start towns and nations, expand your territory, and buy items in shops.

You can get a little gold only twice a day with the /vote command.

There are many ways to earn gold, but mining is the easiest and fastest.

## About Mining

To find gold, mine stones at a height of Y2-20 with high speed using a diamond pickaxe with Efficiency 5 and Haste 2 potions. Pickaxes and potions are sold at the shop at /n spawn mali.
While you can mine in the wilderness near your town, it is also recommended to teleport to a location with few towns and start mining there.
Look at the [Dynmap](https://earthmc.net/map/aurora/) and find a nation with few towns nearby. The nation's capital is marked with a star on the map. If a nation does not allow you to go to wilderness, teleport to another nation instead.

> /n spawn Ruperts_Land
> /n spawn Alberta

*Nations may be deleted or close door to outside. Let's look at the map and see if there are any other good places to mining.

## About Shop
You can go to the shop that sells almost everything with /n spawn mali

You can buy items by clicking on the shop sign and typing in the number of items you want in the chat. (just say "1" if you want 1)

There is also buying shop where you can sell items to earn money.
You can also earn money by selling items there.

There are other shops besides mali, so you can TP to different nations to find them.

## About Exp and Gears
/n spawn mali and go backwards, there are blaze grinders. You can easily earn experience here.
You can buy about 64-100 diamonds for 1 gold, so you can easily get full enchanted dia gears.
You can also sell experience to earn gold. Check the buying shop.

## Don't forget to keep login.
If you have not logged in for **42** days, you will automatically **be kicked out of town**.
Even if you have plot in the town, you will no longer have access to it.
The mayor may even think you are gone and give your plot to someone else.
If you don't want to lose your plot or items, remember to log in before you get kicked.

## Protect yourself!
Wilderness is the place anyone can put or destroy blocks, but PVP is enable!
After your first day on the server, your PVP protection will be removed.
If you are seen from the Dynmap and stay in the wilderness, hunter may come to kill you immediately!
If you are killed, you lost all item and you are not able to get them back.
When going into the wilderness, put anything you don't want to lose, such as gold or valuables, in an enderchest.
You will be relatively safe if you use invisible potions or hide underground to avoid being seen on the map.

Even if you are not pvp, some people will try to steal items from you by having you execute commands.
If someone you don't know asks you to add a friend, add a trust, or execute some command, **they are 100% trying to scam you**.
Only add a friend or trust to someone you really trust.
If you are changing permissions, read the documentation carefully to see what has changed and make sure you fully understand what you are doing. Otherwise, you will be robbed of everything.

Most people use Discord to communicate with each other because it is very inconvenient to communicate in Minecraft chat that only can talk when they are online.

## Frequently used commands.

- `/vote`: You can get gold twice a day.

### TP
- `/t spawn` : TP to your town
- `/n spawn` : TP to the capital of your nation
- `/n spawn` [nation name] : Teleport to nation by name (e.g. /n spawn japan)
- `/home` : Teleport to the last bed used (if not, to /t spawn)

### Chat related
- `/tc` : Enter town chat
- `/nc` : Enter nation chat
- `/g` : Enter global chat (English only)
- `/msg` [mcid] [text] : Send DM to player
- (Example:`/msg asyi Hello` )
- `/r "text"` : Reply to the last player who sent you a DM

### Display info
- `/map` : Display map URL to open browser
- `/towny map hud`: Map display HUD ON/OFF.
- `/plot perm hud`: Permission display HUD ON/OFF
- `/res` or `/res [mcid]`: Display the your/player information.
- `/t` or `/t [town name]` : Display town information
- `/n` or `/n [nation name]` : Display natrion information

### Bottling exp
Earth MC allows you to convert the exp you have into a bottle item with commands.
- `/bottle get max`: Convert all your exp into vanilla Bottle o' Enchanting items. (10 exp each)
- `/bottle store max`: Convert all your exp into a single bottled exp item.
- When you use it, you will get the same amount of exp as when you use the command.
- `/bottle store [number]`: Make a bottled exp of the specified exp amount.
- Example: /bottle store 306
