Innovation Day event being held for the moment, pending confirmation of keynote speakers. While those will be from the age assurance space, the Innovation Day is still intended to cover a broader view of the lifecycle with the programme being crafted in support of that.

- Kate provided an update on approach to speakers and confirmed that no speakers have been locked in.
- Nat confirmed max capacity is 45 people for roundtable format.
- Dima asked for clarification on type of speaker and topic focus.
- Kate commented that:
- the approach to the day is now so broad that it is harder to identify possible contributors.
- approaches to accademia has not generated a response
- John responded to Dima's prompting that universities do experience practical challenges with age verification and delegation of consnet to parents for under 18s

Status remains until such time as relevant information has been published.

UK developments:
- Still patchy implementations of controls (Yoti in front, Persona and others also playing), where in place there are teething problems, online forums alight with discussions where it is clear that the public was largely unaware of this coming
- Early deployment of age checks contributed to awareness but no structured marketing
- Interesting schism between aversion to US-based providers and UK gov't identity scheme
- Broader update on interplay between this development and UK gov't wallet
- Consultation on effectiveness of identity systems for business
- Surprise from members of the CG that age estimation is a valid approach to age assurance, other options are credit card, mobile phone, digital identity wallets,

Lessons for Australia:
- Misconception that age assurance implies handing over personal information ought to be addressed
- Efforts of Yoti to assure general public
