Gluster 2019 : Goals

  • Leaner stack, for container usecase

  • GCS : more focus

  • Metrics : Keep static analyzers happy, and keep them close to 0.

  • More focus on memory leak, and memory usage issues

  • More focused analysis of CPU cycles and better coding practices

  • Automation to validate and keep the sanity of the codebase

  • Stabilize Brick-Mux usecase, and reduce the resource (threads, memory) in brick-mux scenario.

  • thin-arbiter: make a release, where users can consume it in gd1? (if gd2 is not ready for common usecase)

  • A hybrid of github issues and bugzilla for handling bugs. Features only with github.

    • Pros: For community users, it is always better to only track using github.

  • RIO

  • UI for storage management

  • Performance test bed

  • Self-heal performance improvments

  • cinderlib integration with gd2
