Linux Image 製作方式
=====

以下介紹 linux 開機image 的製作方式

1. 直接寫入 SD Card
2. 製作 .img 印像檔

# SD 卡燒錄

## 前置作業

### 準備所需檔案

1. bootloader image : flash.bin
2. linux kernel image
3. linux dtb
4. rootfs file

### fdisk 分割磁區

1. 需先準備USB SD卡讀卡機，並可透過 USB SD卡讀卡機連接到虛擬機

2. 確認系統分配的給插入的 SD Card 的結點

cat /proc/partitions

3. 使用以下 command 看一下掛載情況

df

如果插入的 SD card 已经有分区存在，一般情况下系统就会自动挂载，这样在重新分区时就会失败，提示被占用

4. 先將其 umount

umount /dev/sdb1

5. 使用 fdisk 分割磁區

sudo fdisk /dev/sdb

- 建立第1個 partition

- 1. 按 p + Enter 查看當前分區情況
- 2. 按 d + Enter 刪除分區
- 3. 按 n + Enter 新建分區並設置分區的參數
- 4. 選擇 partition primary；分區號為 1
- 5&6. 設定起始 sector 為 20480 大小為 102400 個 sector (102400-20480 * 512 = 40 MB)


- 新建第二個 partition，將剩餘的空間都分配給它。
- 5&6. 起始 sector 為 1228800；默認大小，即剩餘的所有空間。

- 按 w + Enter 保存分區表，完成分區

- 使用 mkfs 格式化 partition 1 & partition 2

partition 1 boot

sudo mkfs.vfat -n boot /dev/sdb1


partition 2 rootfs

sudo mkfs.ext3 -L rootfs /dev/sdb2


## 燒錄 bootloader

切換 mkimage 目錄 (flash.bin bootloader 所在目錄)

cd ~/work/imx/imx-mkimage/iMX8M

使用 dd 寫入檔案

sudo dd if=flash.bin of=/dev/sdb bs=1k seek=32 conv=fsync

    - 33 - for i.MX 8QuadMax A0, i.MX 8QuadXPlus A0, i.MX 8M Quad, i.MX 8M Mini
    - 32 - for i.MX 8QuadXPlus B0, i.MX 8QuadMax B0, i.MX 8DXL, i.MX 8M Nano, and i.MX 8M Plus
* sd<x> is:
    - Device node for the SD card
* boot_image is:
    - u-boot.imx - for i.MX 6 or i.MX 7
    - flash.bin - for i.MX8

## 燒錄 kernel image 及 dtb

mount partition 1

mkdir -p ~/mnt/boot
sudo mount /dev/sdb1 ~/mnt/boot

複製 Image, dtb 至 /dev/sdb1 (~/mnt)

sudo cp ~/work/imx/linux-imx/arch/arm64/boot/Image ~/mnt/
sudo cp ~/work/imx/linux-imx/arch/arm64/boot/dts/freescale/*imx8mp*.dtb

umount & sync

sudo umount ~/mnt/boot
sync

## 燒錄 rootfs

mount partition 2

mkdir -p ~/mnt/rootfs
sudo mount /dev/sdb2 ~/mnt/rootfs/

解壓縮檔案

tar -xjf  imx-image-full-imx8mpevk.rootfs.tar.bz2 -C ~/work/rootfs/

複製 rootfs 資料

sudo  cp -af ~/work/rootfs/*  ~/mnt/rootfs

umount & sync

sudo umount ~/mnt/rootfs
sync

bootloader --ptable msdos

- yocto wks file in wic config

sudo dd if=imx-image-multimedia-imx8mmevk.wic of=/dev/sdb bs=1M conv=fsync

16384:
16384*512 = 8388608 Byte= 8192 kByte = 8 MByte
