# Miniaturised Factory Chem

# Maintainer Design Flows

## The factory z level
The factory level is an inaccessible Z level that cannot be accessed by human mobs by any means (think like centcomm).
The chemistry player can interact with some mechanism on station, this gives them an advanced camera console like UI, with chem factory components that are buildable, with a view into that Z level, where it has reserved a space for that specific mechanism.
Building a component takes any required costs, and can pull from the global ore material silo if needed
### Notes on reservations
These should work like the shuttle transit space reservation, it blocks out an area of useable space, and surrounds it with undestroyable wall turfs. The size of the space reserved is dependent on the mechanism built on the station.
This allows for research of larger mechanisms that give more space.
## Input/Output
The user can attach large tanks to the mechanisms on the station Z level, these can be either for input, or output, and create a corresponding input/output node in the appropriate reservation on the factory z level. There should also be an output for patches/pills, since
### Gaining chemistry tanks
Chemistry tanks can be ordered from cargo, and contain pre existing bulk precursor chems, empty ones can be built from the medbay protolathe (chem should have access to this right?)
## The mechanism
The name is up to the person who makes the PR, but it's essentially something that should fit on a single table square, and respresents the output/inputs of the factory z level into the station z level, allowing us to put complex layouts into a small single tile space.
Chem should start with a few basic ones, and be able to make more via the medbay protolathe

Ordering chemistry tanks shouldn't affect the ChemMaster - tanks should be used solely for mass production
## The mechanism
Station-side, the mechanism should only take up one turf. The special chem tanks get inserted into the machine. Machine can self-output pills, patches, etc.
Should be able to place as many in-factory input/output sinks as you want. Linking is done manually. Hover over the port and set it to input (and what chem to input given what's available) or output
